  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
Big thanks to Doc for some of the worst rotational decisions of the entire playoffs ... as soon as Sheldon came into this game the defense went down the toilet, quickly followed at the other end. If he plays Sheldon in the second half we're screwed! Ugh!!!

All our bigs have three fouls, though.  I support Doc's decision.  What's worse, having Shelden in the game, or having BBD, Rasheed, or KG pick up a 4th foul?

All the negativity in this town sucks. It sucks, and it stinks, and it sucks. - Rick Pitino

I'm fuming right now. To dominate the first half like that and let the Lakers back in it?  >:(

I hate to blame the refs, but I feel their keeping the Lakers in the game with all the touch fouls they call on the Celtics.  Every time the Celtics supposedly get a couple of stops, they call a touch foul so the Lakers at least get some foul shots, but every time the Celtics drive to he basket, it's a block, not a foul.

Who else should play? KG and Baby are in fou trouble...

and Wallace and Perkins too. Honestly, yea, Ray shot the lights out and were only up 6, but Rondo was 3-10 with some bad turnovers, Pierce hasn't hit a field goal, and KG played 6 minutes.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Sure if anyone else showed up, we'd be winning by 20.

Biggest thing I see, if we REBOUND we're up by 20.  It's been so painful to watch.

And just like that, 14 to 6.  I don't care how well Ray played, we still deserve to lose.  I expect us to lose.  That was so pathetic.  This is easily the maddest I've been all playoffs and WE'RE WINNING.  Thats how much I've felt this half has been fools gold.

Still rebounding like crap, still too sloppy on offense, playing like we want to lose in the final minutes of the half.

Awful.

Oh come on now. Turn that frown upside-down. We closed out the quarter poorly but our D is playing well. Much better compared to the first game. Bad rebounding and turnovers, both of which were greatly effected by the foul trouble on all our bigs--leaving Sheldon to be deficient in both those categories has been what has hurt us.

Maybe I'm a fool, but I am optimistic. We're playing well. Up in the game. Could be up more yes, but the defense is strong. Rebound and eliminate turnovers and I like whats going on.

Oh well, I don't expect anything like you do but there has been a lot of good in this first half. I'm not throwing it all out because of those last two minutes.

Seriously.
Come back in off of that ledge, man... Geez.

Perkins? Ugh. Horrible. Obliterated by a guy reportedly on one leg for six quarters now.

Sheed? Thanks, man. He and Ray have single-handedly given us a lead at halftime.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
18 to 6 in personal fouls. Garnett, Perk, Baby and Wallace all with 3 fouls, which warranted or not was a huge disadvantage.

Celts up 6, +4 in rebounds, up in assists as well. Not where they shouldve been, but I'd rather be in their position than in LA's. There's no reason they can't come out hot in the 3rd, particularly if LA has Kobe on Ray and Fisher on Rondo.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

The Lakers bigs should be in the same boat as the C's. C's are driving into the lane and not getting the same calls.

LA has twice as many fta, our bigs are all in foul trouble, to me a big reason why despite outplaying them we're only up six.

Good piece on Wooden with Walton and Kareem.

I really hope that this little meltdown won't cost us the game. Lakers now have the momentum going for them. We better open strong the 3d and establish a 12-14 lead back. I don't like our chances in a close game with this kinda poor rebounding.

Was that the worst 4 minutes in Finals history. I can't believe some C's fans thought this scrub was better than Big Baby. Get this Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. outta here.

P.S. Perk should never touch the ball on offense.

just gotta get this off my chest...everyone says we're getting killed on the boards but we have out rebounded them 23-19 and lakers have 1 more off. board.

With the lack of KG (6 mins) i'm pleased with this rebounding margin. And sheed has been great on the boards with 6, and Rondo is crashing them everytime but had a few knocked away by sheldon and perk i think.

I'd like to see Pierce crash the boards more like the Orlando series, but he's locked up with artest like every possession
