I dont get the anxiety.

Lakers have HCA and a tremendous pride and are on a mission. A game 1 win is the least to expect from them. There are a number of factors that worked against our Celts.

1. Perkins had to constantly be in control of his emotions. Not good for the enforcer who has to throw himself out a bit.
2. Rays early foul trouble forced Rondo to overthink his penetration as his options for kicking were limited.
3. But the biggest problem was that unlike many other games we have seen, noone from the Celtics put up their hand to take over. Pierce was in fine form imo and could have been designated, Rondo and KG were passive, and Ray was in foul trouble. And Perk as said above is living with the tech threat.

In game 2 all of these factors will be put to bed.

KG's better days are behind him. In fact he is looking mediocre. Perkins has been neutered by the League. Allen shows up on pay day and Pierce is ready for the studding barn. LA is just too big for us, have the best money player and they have the best active Coach.

I've been a Celtic fan since the Cousy days. We are over matched  this time. Last time we had Powe and Posey. I hope we can stretch em out for a few wins anyway. Tough for Rondo to get into his act with their timber. This could get ugly. Hope I'm wrong.

Good, it will make their let-down even worse when we do. One game doesn't win a series. I don't expect for us to play that slow and sloppy again. If la was that good, they would have won 70 games during the season. We bounced back from game 3 against cleveland, we can bounce back after this.

It's hard to beat a team when they are making EVERY shot. I have a hard time believing they will be able to keep up that pace. Not going to happen.

We will make the changes and wni game 2. Then we have the advantage.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

How is the Perkins situation going to change in game 2? The threat of the T is still there...

I am not sure about the series, because I think it is very tough to win 3 straight games at home, and winning game 6 or 7 in LA will be tough.  However, I feel very confident about game 2.

Perkins will be encouraged to go all out. The fear was definitely not to lose it in LA. If Perk goes down for one game in Boston I really dont think it will be a killer especially if the series is at 1-1. Rasheed will make a great replacement.

I have no fear in this team. Unlike many of you I didnt see a Laker team dominating the Celtics. I saw a Celtics team playing badly and a Lakers team motivated by their home crowd playing inspired ball.

1. Thats not going to change.
2. Ray scores more, but then so does Kobe. TA is a better defender. What do you prefer a low scoring game or a higher one?
3.PP did not look fine to me. He had a strikingly low number of attempts through 3 quarters, the question is why?

Well, I don't like being in this position. We have lost three out of the last four games.....

There are matchup problems we need to solve.

Having to play two extra games against sore loser Orlando was damaging for sure. Otherwise I can pin it on being out of sync for not playing for 10 days.

Kept waiting for a sustained rally that never came at all. The Celtics simply came up short in the energy department last night. Way short.

You just don't know in this business. I certainly did not sign up for it.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

KG looked stellar in the Cleveland series (and that was what, 3 weeks ago?) and totally shut down Rashard Lewis last series.  While he may not be what he once was, he's overall much better than he looked last night.

Man people are giving up already? The Lakers came out fired up beyond belief and were honestly trying to beat us by 40. And we ended up basically losing by 10.

I still way we have a chance after a loss in game 2..

Not worried either.....yet. Anybody remember how soft we played in the first Cleveland game? It seems that our team needs to get dumped on (scatalogically speaking) to wake up and play. The Fakers just dumped on us. I see the same thing happening.

It's worth repeating, we come out flat and unmotivated in Game 2 we're cooked.  I'm 99% certain that won't happen though.

The truth is if we win game 2 it starts all over again. The guy to worry about is Coach Jackson. Early going he had every one attacking the paint. If I were him I'd keep pounding it inside with his big boys.
