Pau wanted it so much more than us in 08 that he put up 10 points and 8 rebounds in an elimination game on the road. The whole "wanted it more" thing is pretty played out, imo. Unless it comes to someone like Lamar Odom: I question how seriously he takes winning.

A little off topic....but does anybody know how many times the team with "homecourt advantage" has lost the nba finals? If I had to guess, I would say that the team with home court almost always wins. What is the format for this series...is it 2-2-1-1-1 or 2-3-2?

It's 2-3-2.

In the last 20 years off the top of my head, the road team has won 5 times- the 93 Bulls, 95 Rockets, 98 Bulls, 04 Pistons and 06 Heat.

I don't know....but I find this currest LA roster better than the one we faced in 2008....I'm honestly nervous about this series...it could go either way. Rondo, Rasheed, TA and BBD will have to produce for us if we want to win this series/banner 18.

In 2008 the starting 5 were more important for us....the result was reflective of their play......but this time around, imo, our bench play will be more important.

Now is the time to get in all your wishful thinking.  Once the series starts the Artest will shutdown Pierce and the Lakers want it more talk will cease.  Then we can all look back similar to way we all looked back at the Celtics are done threads and find the humor in it all.

Oh yeah and did you know that Phil is undefeated in series where the team he coaches wins game 1?  Of course he's also 0-1 going against the big 3...

He doesn't have to qualify it as "wanting it more". He can simply say the Lakers want it very badly or something along those lines. He doesn't have to start assuming how much the Celtics want it, it is of no concern of his and seriously, what the heck does he know?
