Rondo needs to take that to the hoop and get the foul on Odom.

It appears that we've either underrated the Lakers, or overestimated the Celtics.
for tonight, I'd say both.  overall, the tone on the site I think underestimated the Lakers.

Personally, I'm taking a small bit of consolation in predicting the C's in 6 figuring they'd take games 2, 3, 5 and 6.  figured Lakers would come out fired up and take this one.  just didn't figure the C's would look this lifeless

Refs have taken Ray completely out of this game.

Getting schooled on the backboards.

Getting schooled in the paint by the Lakers bigs.

And Kobe is killing it.

their passing is still careless just like at the start of the game.  it's like watching a regular season game tonight

exactly - they are in regular season mode.

If Pierce isn't shouldering the offense, then he should take Kobe Bryant because he is, by far, the Celtics most effective defender against Kobe.

Grim picture.

We're getting whipped and thoroughly outworked in every phase of the game. The defense is terrible, and I see no reason at this point to think we can put enough stops together to make this interesting.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Okay. The Celtics are playing like garbage, and this is not the refs fault*. But that call on Allen was RIDICULOUS.

* I do think, though, that a tightly-called/ borderline tickytack game like this favors the Lakers A LOT.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

well....Ray Allen hasn't been allowed to play in this game. Pretty absurd. Ruined us offensively.

But to all thinking so down...one run and were in it...and if not...did you think this series was going any less than 6 either way? Even if this game continues as is we can still steal game 2. The Lakers aren't cottage cheese. They are a good team. Keep your heads up! I know I am.

For anybody who wants to let Ray go in free agency, this is what our future could look like.  Ugly.

One game, and the Lakers have something to prove against us. We´ll bounce back.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Completely agree. Plus it should allow Ray to stay in the game.
