No one should be surprised because we have totally deviated from the blueprint. Again.

No ball movement. Too many jump shots. Easy baskets given up in transition. Rebounding's terrible. Ball security is worse.

Got a half to straighten it out.

Perimeter D absolutely nowhere to be found.

And KG looks overmatched against Gasol on both ends.

Perkins needs to rebound the basketball. He doesn't contribute enough offensively and hasn't done enough defensively to be a positive force for the Celtics when he isn't rebounding the ball.

I still have a good feeling about this:
We haven't been playing very well and are only down 9. Lots of time remaining.

PLenty of time. The C's are playing hard, and executing well in the half court... they just gotta get those rebounds! Stop Gasol from getting offensive boards and layups.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Rondo's playing pretty poorly

that's kind of an overstatment... 10pts on 50% shooting, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 TO. Not the most horrendous stats in the world.

I'd like him to be more aggressive though for sure. He can blow by Fish and Kobe for that matter, and he has yet to do so.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Lakers are shooting 52.6% from the field, Celtics 41.7%...hopefully that will even out in the second half. Need to rebound better and take care of ball.

Ugh why did I think this series would easier than Orlando or Cleveland...

Pierce has got to go to the hoop as well. Too many jump shots in the first. What is killing us is our defense and rebounding, it's awful.

Need to get him in transition. But we can't seem to keep them out of the paint. We start getting stops and Rondo will look a lot better.

Panicking on offense...cause the Lakers are so tall.

Orlando would be giving the Lakers more of a fight right now.

Terrible half. Need to pick up our D and rebounding.
Some horrible shot selection too.

hell of a shot by rondo.

but this isn't looking good. lakers shooting 52% and we have clearly gotten away with some fouls. we're gonna need to make adjustments for next game.

Has anyone else tears in his eyes from this Kobe segment?

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

defense is suspect tonight. rebounding is the difference tonight. i dont understand why boston isnt going inside more
Garnett looks so comfortable attacking Gasol in the post.

Gotta give him some touches down in the block. Let him get going.

not to rain on your parade but how can you possibly believe they're executing in the half court well?  most of their halfcourt offense has been stagnant and been outside shots under duress.
