No one should be surprised because we have totally deviated from the blueprint. Again.

No ball movement. Too many jump shots. Easy baskets given up in transition. Rebounding's terrible. Ball security is worse.

Got a half to straighten it out.

Rondo!

What an ugly play, but I'll take it.

Rondo!!!! The patented quarter-killer! Haven't seen that for a few games.

Let's regroup at halftime, come out strong in the third quarter, play as a team and put together a run.

Rondo to KG!

We haven't seen that one in awhile.
That was a very nice play ... the Celtics need to get out in transition more often.

They have huge advantage in the open court going both ways (offensively/defensively) + they need those easy baskets for their offense to work well.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Rondo's playing pretty poorly--as he goes, we go.

Also, guys--the Lakers are pretty good. This isn't about the Celts "not showing up." They're playing hard...too hard, actually.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

Too many C's players haven't showed up so far.

I think I'm gonna throw up from all the Kobe talk.

C's getting beaten in every facet of the game.

Rebounding, defense, 50/50 balls and plays, hustle plays, bench play, shooting, interior play, you name it.

C's will get busted by 20-25 in the end if they come out like this in the 2nd half.  Just a putrid effort all around.  bench was useless except, dare I say it, Sheed.

Every Laker has outplayed their Celtic counterpart and it's not even close.

Outplayed in every aspect of the game and completely outhustled. Hopefully the Celts wake up in the second half or this one is going to get ugly? Can someone please put a call in to KG to see if he has arrived yet at the Staples Center.

Odd stat -- only two Celtics have positive +/-

Rasheed Wallace (+6 in 9 minutes) and Nate Robinson (+5 in 7 minutes). Odd duo to see.

I still have a good feeling about this:
We haven't been playing very well and are only down 9. Lots of time remaining.

Nice buzzer beater by Rondo at the end.

But overall very disappointed on how we have come out. We aren't getting much done on either ends.

Lakers are crashing the boards and getting more 2nd shot opportunities/fouls than us...and we need to stop them from doing that.

Come on C's....please come out in the 2nd half with a little more energy and with a lot more defensive mindset.

Btw Refs...seriously can we stop it with the tacky fouls....its the Finals...let the men play.
