I think Orlando got enough pieces to make it happen. But first, is that a place where Bosh would like to play? Their market is small compared to other destinations.

Magic can trade 2-5 pieces they can trade

They got:
Gortat (cheaper than Bynum, no past injury issues)
Bass (Brings toughness & hustle)
Pietrus (Great 3point shooter)
R. Anderson (young & versatile big)
Reddick (S&T to toronto)

So Magic can ship 2 or 3 of those guys to Toronto + some draft picks. Move Rashard to SF. Starting unit of

Jameer
Carter
Rashard
Bosh
Howard

So is it possible?

In a word? No. They have few chips relative to the other Bosh-suitors. And they don't have enough cap room to absorb Bosh + Hedo, which might be the one thing they could offer that's enough for Toronto to bite.

Magic have trade exception worth 7 or 8 million....they could and should try to put it to good use.

Orlando's top priority should be finding a young replacement for Vince Carter.

Someone like Joe Johnson would be excellent.

I'm not sure they have enough to tempt the Hawks into agreeing to a sign and trade though. Maybe Vince + Anderson + two or three future first round picks? Would Atlanta have any interest in that type of package?

An immediate replacement for JJ (with an expiring contract), a good prospect and two low first round picks? Atlanta doesn't figure to get much in any JJ S+T so maybe they consider it but it's very hard to tell.

Joe Johnson + Mickael Pietrus would be a very nice combination on the wing defensively. Rashard Lewis and Dwight Howard behind them. Gortat and Bass off the bench. Nelson at the point. Need some reinforcements off the bench on the perimeter though (get rid of Barnes + Williams). Redick might be worth keeping but he is not a great fit.

------------------------------------------

If Orlando could manage to keep Ryan Anderson off the table (possible since Josh Smith and Al Horford are long term fixtures there + I think Anderson is one of those players who's value varies greatly from one GM to the next) ... then the Magic could start Nelson + JJ + Rashard + Anderson + Dwight ... the offensive potential of that group is amazing.

Plus Orlando could keep Pietrus, Bass and Gortat as the mainframe to the bench and add a cheap point guard in free agency. Nice nine man rotation.

Although, I don't think Orlando would plan on doing this. They should have moved Ryan Anderson into the starting lineup this season but were reluctant to mess with a good thing ... and I think that attitude is still there and will end up deciding their direction for at least another season (Rashard @ PF).

Hedo coming back would be HILARIOUS.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Interestingly, Hedo was just quoted on Turkish TV saying he didn't want to return to the Raptors because (paraphrasing) he was humiliated that he was booed by his home fans. Looks like a nasty divorce coming with the Raptors.

Personally, having seen a ton of Raptor games this year, I think he's lucky all they did was boo him. It could have been a lot worse given how awful he was most of the year.

If the Magic could somehow pull of a sign-and-trade for Bosh they would look scary.  Bosh is a really good compliment to Howard as far as how he plays.  He is good in both the high and low post, has a good 15-20 foot jump shot.  He can play defense.  It is even better if Lewis could slide to the 3.  A bonus for Orlando (and Karma) would be if it involved Carter going back to Toronto.

A Howard, Bosh, Lewis, Reddick/Barnes/Whomever, Nelson top 5 is pretty intimidating.

I couldn't imagine a team more hated by Raptor fans.

I like to think it takes a serious All-star prospect to get back an elite player like Bosh.

To get KG, we needed to send Al Jefferson plus more.

To get Ray, we needed to send #5 overall pick plus more.

To get Pau Gasol, LA needed to send.... um.... OK, nevermind maybe it is possible.   ;)

But seriously, at the time, Pau wasn't considered at the level that Bosh is now.  He was a 1 time all star, 0 time all-nba teamer.  Bosh on the other hand is a 5 time all star and once a 2nd team All-NBA member.  To get an elite player like Bosh, I still think it takes at least 1 all-star potential player which Magic don't have to offer, so I don't think it can get done.

The Magic probably do have enough to get it done with Gortat, Bass, Anderson and Pietrus. I just don't think Otis Smith goes that route or that bringing in Bosh improves there chances of winning much. Sure, they'd look great on paper but would be thin, have an All-star forward playing out of position and a SG that can't get it done when it counts.

More than anything I think that team needs a Ray Allen or Rip Hamilton type of 2 gaurd. A player that's constantly running around causing havoc, creating lanes and freeing up space for set shooters and Howard down below.

VC for Hamilton and Will Bynum (S&T) would make the Magic a well rounded deep team.

Eh... I mean, the trade is probably fair but I don't think Bargnani would be as effective at the 3. Plus, Hedo's contract is tough to swallow.
