Wow.
After the Laker win last night ESPN seemed to go all Lakers all the time all the rest of the night.
C's win the Eastern Conference title in dominating fashion and they are already showing extensive Lakers footage of the night beofre's game and footage of an interview with Phil Jackson.
This is why I hate ESPN.
It's like Jerry Buss signs their paychecks sometimes.
Very frustrating. However, the good thing is it gives Doc yet another opportunity to play the respect card.
Is there any doubt in your mind we'll be the expert-decreed underdog for the Finals?
I wrote this elsewhere:
2008 Post season Celtics:
26 games
16-10
Averaged: 94.0 PPG
Gave up: 88.8 PPG
Opp FG%: 42.6%
Opp 3PT% 32.9%
2010 Post season Celtics:
17 games
12-5
Averaged : 96.6 PPG
Gave up: 91.3 PPG
Opp FG%: 43.7%
Opp 3PT%: 31.5%
How anyone can watch the team that played in 2008, watched this team, watched the defense of both teams and then have taken a look at these stats and then NOT favor Boston to win it all, would dumbfound me.
How anyone couldn't favor the Celtics now would be truly astonishing but I guarantee Legler will probably be the only one.
Question: How many ex-Lakers does ESPN have working for it? How many ex-Celtics?
Gee I wonder what team their "experts" will pick after LA beats Phoenix?
Magic(Ex Laker)? Lakers
Byron Scott(Ex Laker)? Lakers
Jeff Van Gundy(Ex Knick)? Lakers
Mark Jackson(Ex Knick)? Lakers
JA Andande(Ex Laker beat Writer)? Lakers
Hmmmmm. Who are they going to ask next who will win Lakers or Celtics?
Jack Nicholson?
Pat Riley?
Jerry West?
Dyan Cannon?
Kareem?
Worthy?
Rambis?
Please. I hate ESPN when they cover the NBA
