and when I said Doc should have used a timeout at the end of regulation in Game 4...I got a lot of crap for saying it...He might have screwed us for this series...MORON let a game slip through our hands...and now look.

Your problem should be with the players. There WAS a play in place, and Doc deliberately didn't call a timeout so Orlando couldn't sub in better defenders. The fact that Paul botched it (and Orlando played quite well) isn't on Doc. The strategy may not have worked but to call it moronic is wrong.

Paul has also already confessed in an interview to blowing the play by getting anxious.

But some people like to get angry and call coaches morons.

There are different grades of concussions, so that might mean Baby can get out on the floor. But seeing his reaction made it seem very, very serious. Can't risk longterm damage with brain stuff.

baby might say he's going to play, but i think there's no chance of that happening. he completely blacked out on the court and then could barely walk. on top of that, given scal's history, i think the C's as an organization will be extra-cautious.

Yeah it's not up to him really. He needs to be cleared by the trainers (now I'm beginning to worry for him given their track record). But really he needs to stay healthy it's more important than risking another concussion. We just have to hope Sheed is OK, that Sheldon can step up and contribute like he did early in the season and that maybe Scal can give us some solid minutes too.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

I think Baby will play after hearing it from him, and that's what really matters. After I saw him collapse I taught he's done for the series or the season

We desperately need KG and Rondo to step up their play in game 6. PP is once again trying to do too much by himself. We won the first three games "as a team" and we need to play as one in order to wrap this series up. Losing game 4 in overtime took it's toll on us coming into game 5. The team just was out of synch on both ends of the court. I still like our chances of winning 1 of 2 games...but it is in our best interest to finish the series at home. Game 7 on the road would be really tough.

I hate when Paul does that, but it was because nobody else was doing anything.  Rondo was worried about his own scoring and not setting people up. If Rondo, KG and Ray were doing something, there would be no need for Paul to try to do it himself.

Paul didn't play that way in this game but, if it's easier for some of you deal with the loss by making erroneous points then fine.

My wish list for Friday:

Ray Allen shows up.
BBD plays we need him and I think because of his HUGE heart he will.
Perkins T's are rescinded ( almost a given ).
A crowd that rivaled game 3.

Paul took only 8 shots in this game, he didn't try to play the hero... and in retrospect he should have because Rondo was terrible and hogging to the ball.

As for Baby, of course I would love to see him play Friday and we will need him badly but I don't want him to risk his life for one game (concussions are serious injuries and I don't think you can recover enough in the span of 2 days).

It depends on the grade of the concussion. If the medical staff thinks he's fine I hope he plays although I obviously don't want him risking further injuries.  Let's hope for the best.  The perfect scenario would be all the starters show up and blow Orlando out of the building which might allow Doc to keep him on the bench.  Play Sheldon if he's not ready.

Even though it is his first concussion, I simply do not see how Glenn Davis will play only two days after sustaining it. It would be highly unusual. That means that Shelden will have to see minutes guarding Howard -- UGH
He's already had a concussion, he was involved in a car accident and missed some games because of it iirc.
