Perk now has 7 techs and that is an automatic susspension if they don't rescind one of the techs.

Will BBD be able to play? How long did they keep Scal out last year after his 1st cuncussion?

Sheldon Williams might be seeing some minutes

I would be shocked if the NBA didn't rescind both of perks techs. But yeah, Baby may be done for the season.  That would be a huge blow.

I think Perk's Ts will get rescinded but I can't imagine Big Baby will be allowed to do anything for at least another couple of weeks.

no chance baby plays...2 days is not long enough for a concussion to heal

  • Yup
I hope they rescind the techs on Perk, the rescissions are almost more insulting than the horrible T's to begin with.
Yup

Looks like losing game 4 was worse than I thought. Even IF (big if) we still take out Orlando I'm not sure we'll have enough players left for LA or the Suns.

  • Thank you Eddie!
Howard better be out for game 6 for ending BBD's season with his "flying" elbows, or else I don't think I will be able to bring myself to watch another NBA game after the Celtics' season is over.

There's no way he's suspended. I'd bet my soul on that one.

Even though it is his first concussion, I simply do not see how Glenn Davis will play only two days after sustaining it. It would be highly unusual. That means that Shelden will have to see minutes guarding Howard -- UGH

I hope BBD isn't allowed to play because I want him healthy for next season. Head injuries, especially repeated, can truly cause permanent brain injury like is happening with our combat soldiers and the IED's. This Howard mess needs to be punished and if he ain't here on earth, maybe next life he will be. I sure hope so. For DH to not even get a foul, when he should have gotten a Flagrant 2 on that just is sickening. And how about him entangling his arm with Paul Pierce at which just happened to be PP bad shoulder. Oh yes, elbow cheater knows what he's doing and he want to win and he is not capable of winning playing real basketball. I despise everything about the guy.

Knocked out by an elbow from Dwight Howard in the second half of Wednesday's playoff loss to the Magic in Orlando, Celtics forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis had a brief message for reporters after the game: "I'll be back for the next game. That's all you need to print."

I believe that's the concussion speaking. No way does he play the next game. Unless it's with a helmet and in a bubble suit but even that sounds too dangerous.

If there is concussion, which they say there is, (in addition to a lost tooth, I heard) then I pray the coaches will not allow him to play, whether he wants to or not. Look what happened to Scal. It ruined his whole career getting repeated concussions before he was healed properly. And Scal is one great guy and a heck of a BBIQ.

I would be quite upset, to say the least, if Perk's T's are not rescinded. Both of them. That should be clear to all. If they are not I'm on the phone to Ralph Nader and the NBA League of Fans (his letter about the Lakers-Kings series is a thing of beauty: http://www.leagueoffans.org/sternletter.html).

Unfortunately, that doesn't change the fact that those two T's took our best one-on-one defender on Howard for more than half the game. As someone else said it is almost salt in the wounds. The league saying we were wrong but it still took out Perk unnecessarily. Those last two fouls he picked up alone were hogwash. The way this game was officiated was frustrating to say the least. It didn't lose the game but it also didn't help my blood pressure.
