The opposing PG may win the battle once or twice. As long as Rajon wins the war that is all I care about. And my money is on Rondo in this fight.

The screen/roll was killing us tonight. I expect Doc and Thibs to work on tightening the defense in that area. The next legal pick set in this series will be the first. I don't understand why Perk is the only one being consistently being called for it. He has to be averaging at least one of those per game.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Rondo had a terrible game, and Jameer had a good one (that was blessed with more than a little luck).  It happens.  I was disappointed to see Rondo look so tentative and, at times, downright timid, but the guy was having muscle spasms, so what can you do?

If the remaining three games of this series come down to Rondo vs. Jameer, I like our chances.

Rondo looked like he was playing with a hangover all game. Multiple picks and screens certainly didn't help, but he was clearly moving at half-speed, especially at the start of the game.

Nelson is a good player that decided last night to attack more.

Rondo has played so great this postseason that its hard to find fault with him,but as we all know Rondo was due for a game where he is not as engaged in the game as he usually is...but Danny,Wyc,and Doc knew this from last season which is why a decent backup pg is/was crucial to adding to this team. They are lucky they've gotten away with him not being injuried more than he has... as Rondo goes the team usually goes.

Well there was definitely something wrong with him. Who knows with the Celtics. They say it was muscle spasms but who knows. They said Garnett was day to day last year. However, my point is that you could tell he was moving at half speed all night. On a number of occasions he pulled up on fast breaks when he usally goes right around the defender. How can you expect him to guard Nelson?

He outplayed Rondo last night no doubt.  Hopefully Rondo isn't hurt and he comes back and plays well in game 5 to help Paul with some of the scoring load.

Rondo can get overconfident at times.  You can tell when he gets "too cute" with his passes now and then.  Having said that, Rondo is a warrior and he'll bounce back and out-do Jameer to close the series.

I don;t think ROndo felt well tonight. He had poor energy from the get go and was not himself. The C's suffered greatly tonight without his input.

I agree with this. I was wondering if he injured himself in the last game or if it had something to do with his going to the locker room before halftime, but he didn't really look comfortable last night.

All Rondo has to do is outplay Nelson one more time out of the 3 remaining games for us to clinch the series. I love those odds.

Yes, he was suffering from back spasms.

I think ALL the Celtics let their success go to their heads. They came ready to play at a 9/10 level.... they needed to be at 10/10 on the effort level.

The Celtics let Howard and Nelson get loose and then that opened the 3 point game. Yet still it was just a 4 point OT loss.

We've got them in game 5. Our guys are going to be p---ed off.

I really think there was something wrong with Rondo, he had a couple mis-dribbles, left the court early at the half, he looked weak defensively, wasn't forcing the ball back down their throats... he just didn't look right.

Jameer Nelson is a good player.  Saying that is not taking anything away from Rondo.  Jameer showed more ability to break down the defense off the pick and roll (double in many cases) and then find the open man.  He made some shots too with one of them being a lucky bank shot.

Rondo did not do much this game.  Orlando is sagging off him even more than usual and his man is disrupting Pierce and Allen's offense.  Dwight then patrols the middle leaving Rondo the choice of outside shots or nothing.

Another big issue in the game was that I felt that KG was tentative.  He wasn't shooting with the same confidence he has had recently.

All this led to the ball being in PP hands while he worked to get a shot.  Towards the end everyone got tired and shots did not go in.

Orlando played well but it wasn't like they "went off" ala Wade in the previous game 4 near sweep.  That is the level of play that Boston is going to have to beat one more time.  I am not expecting Orlando to play poorly anymore and make it easy on us like Cle did.

Doc also said Rondo told him he felt fatigued. He's been a little energizer bunny for 40+ minutes almost every game and doesn't ask to be taken out. He played less than usual in the 1st half because of the foul trouble. If he felt tired he definitely wasn't himself.
