is rondo letting all the "rondo is one of the top pgs " talk get to his head?? he had zero impact on the game today. if they defend their homecourt and take the next one ill be really worried, 3-2 series last year comes to mind

Jameer is a great player. You expect this kinda things from great player. Rondo had a little slippage tonight. He'll get it together in game5.

Steve Nash didn't have a good game 1 or 2 , but RR HAS been balling until today. He fine one bad game geez. Watch game 5 he want disappoint. I thought he got hacked a couple of times but he'll be back. Jammer 1 game to Rondo 3 Dont bash him.

We are so quick to jump to conclusions involving character issues. I remember in the game thread, when Rondo went to the locker room late in the 2nd quarter, half of us speculated that he left to go pout, only to find out later that he was having muscle spasms. I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt, given all that he has done for us and how much he has grown this year.

I don;t think ROndo felt well tonight. He had poor energy from the get go and was not himself. The C's suffered greatly tonight without his input.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

rondo was in foul trouble in the first half, but jameer wasnt exactly better than rondo today, he too was playing with risk, he ended up fouling out in OT but the point is, he took advantage of rondo being out of the court cuz of his foul troubles.

I don't think Jameer Nelson is a great player, as an earlier poster wrote. I also understand that Rondo is not going to be great every game, no one is. But if he just had an average game tonight for him, the Celts would have won. This team has become super-dependent on Rondo.

  • LETS DO IT AGAIN!
The Magic set double/triple screen for Jameer.
He was able to roll and score or pass.

Alot of moving screens that only Park and Sheed got caught.

To be fair, Orl ran pick and roll the ENTIRE game.  Defense needs to help Rondo there.  We need to be more prepared next game for sure.

Thats Celticsblog for you.....one day its "Bring out the brooms" "Beat LA" etc etc....the very next day we are " Worst game ever"(seriously? worst game ever? I guess, we forgot the loss
against the Nets) ...."it could be 3-2 like last year"(again, we forget that we were without KG and LP..plus our starters played way too many minutes in the Chicago series before meeting Orl)....WE ARE 3-1 NOT 1-3....I will take a 3-1 record against the 2nd best team in ECF anyday anytime...wayyy too much over-reaction tonight. Nobody, atleast a big majority, didn't expect them to beat Clev...and now we are reacting like the sky is falling....and this after we are 3-1 in ECF...if LA wins tomorrow, we will have identical records...hope that makes the nervous folks feel a little better.

Rondo spent more time trying to get around screens than he did actually defending Nelson.

Yes he did. I will usually defend Celtics Players until the very end, but Rondo let him get the best of him in this game.

Credit to Jameer.

Rondo will be back, though. He handles adversity well.

Orlando did a great job with setting picks. That is not all on the defending PG.

Jameer was going hard to the rim when Rondo would go over the pick, forcing bigs to rotate and leaving Howard open for lobs at the rim.

It is tough to go under picks when Jameer is hitting pullup 3's.

This play was run over and over again and we had a real hard time defending it.

im not pinning the loss on Rondo im just saying a lot of times when he has really great games he comes out flat the next one. we cant afford subpar games from our pg in the conference finals. looking forward to him bouncing back.

and yeah the MOVING screens were killing him smh
