Probably because he is from Duke, I never liked JJ, but after seeing him in the playoffs my impression of him has improved. I think he is a good defender on Ray because JJ's offense would probably be running around all of those screens too. A backup back court of Tony and JJ would be solid.
I'm not sure what value the Magic would place on him, though. He didn't play for the first few years in the NBA, but they would not trade him either.
