He just wants to steal the "Underdog" position from us ... no way, man!!  ;)

I think it's already been delivered to his doorstep.

It's true, the Magic are shaken, just a little nervous and fragile from the fall ...

Hey Stan, have your boys reread the MS Media's pre-series Hype and the experts picks on ESPN , you and your's are the favorites to win this series and The Boston Celtics are the UNDERDOGS , Dog  8)

I have great hopes maybe you can contact the Wizard of OZ and locate a heart for ya team and give us a good game Monday night !

Sleep well~

  • Rondo = Good
The Celtics have stepped on their throats.  Now it's time to stop their hearts.

(man, this "defeating-the-opponent" imagery is pretty violent)

TNT interviewed Howard Sunday and afterward the Kenny and Charles said Howard sounded like the Magic were already defeated. I feel bad. The Cs should play with the same intensity as Saturday and help put Howard and the Magic out of their misery.

What's the line on # of Matt Barnes cheap shots tomorrow night?

Well, as long as the refs curtail it, I'm good..I can understand them being upset, but it doesn't need to go to the level of hurting a player prior to a Potential LA series.
Pierce needs to keep it classy. I don't want to see someone get hammered because Pierce decides to mock Orlando by tipping the ball back through the hoop again.

Does Pierce shake hands after we win this series or does he walk straight to the locker room at the buzzer like he did against Clev?

Don't worry about Pierce...he'll keep it classy. Try not to throw a wrench in every post.

Maybe SVG is trying to feed the "this series is over" beast by getting the Celts to take the Magic for granted.  Why else would he admit that his team was psychologically damaged by being beat down?
Judging by what he said the other day during his end of 3rd quarter interview during Game 2 about now being able to stop Boston, my guess is that he says these things because:

1.) He tries to deflect blame for bad events away from himself and onto others

2.) He's a bad NBA coach

3.) He's not very media savvy

4.) And he can be quite clueless at times

5.) He has a serious case of chronic "I can't stop talking and because of this say stupid things and often can be found with my foot in my mouth" disease.

Boston could still choke this Bruins style, but along the same lines as this topic... I saw Dwight Howard get interviewed during the Suns/Lakers game and Reggie Miller's obnoxious sibling asked him "not saying you will get swept, but if you get swept... how will you see this season?" and his response was something along the lines of "Well it's not over, but it was a great season..."    I think that's the difference between the Celtics and Magic.  If roles were reversed and someone asked Paul Pierce or Kevin Garnett down 0-3 how he'd see the season if the series ended in a sweep... he'd say "a massive failure unless we win the title... this isn't over... " and he'd probably walk away p---ed.  Actually... Pierce/KG probably would have refused to be interviewed in that situation.

Still, this could be a classic trap game. The Celtics attitude and determination will decide the outcome not Orlando's.
