Coach Stan Van Gundy said players "were down" on Sunday when they started reviewing Game 3 videotape, conceding they are "a little shaken.

"It didn't start great in the film session. Guys were down, but as it went along, they were fine," he said. "Our guys haven't been in this situation in a long time … to be beaten like that. We took a lot of losses in the playoffs last year. But other than Game 1 in L.A. (against the Lakers in the NBA Finals), we hadn't been beaten like this.

"They don't have a lot of experience with this. Our guys are a little shaken."

I'll be really impressed with Orlando if they can keep this one close.  It's going to be a very hard game for them to play.

I expect a fairly close game through half-time.  And then the Celtics come out strong and make it a blowout, demoralizing the Magic and they just break down and quit.  Their spirit is broken...

Trying to fool the Celtics into passivity?

Nice try, but the Zen master you are not.

As soon as the Celtics get a lead and the Magic hear the roar from the crowd, I expect them to get shaken again.

Maybe SVG is trying to feed the "this series is over" beast by getting the Celts to take the Magic for granted.  Why else would he admit that his team was psychologically damaged by being beat down?

SVG is just taking Dwight's lead from last night's comment of "hearts not there" for Game 3.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Well, as long as the refs curtail it, I'm good..I can understand them being upset, but it doesn't need to go to the level of hurting a player prior to a Potential LA series.

Maybe he's just telling the truth and preparing Magic fans for a hard dose of reality...  But like you said, doesn't make much sense.  Some things are better left unsaid.
