"It’s going to be amazing playing against those guys again," Bynum said after practice at the team’s training facility in nearby El Segundo. "Because we lost (in 2008), we’re going to have a lot of fuel and a lot of ammo. They’re definitely a great team. They have great veterans on their squad. ... The first step is closing out Game 3, and then after that, we’ll be focusing."

Actually, Game 4 would still be required.

This was before they lost to the Suns last night. They haven't even won 3 games and already talking about playing the Celtics. lol  Would be cool if the Suns came back and beat them.

Didn't the Lakers give up over 100 points in each of their games against the Suns?

Yeah, and we haven't closed out our series by any means, either, yet we're talking like we're already in the finals. ;)

I think this is one of the reason's I have never heard Phil Jackson say anything positive about the guy. He is really immature. I can't picture any of the Celtics ever saying anything like this before a series was over.

Also, Bynum should focus on getting himself ready because he looks hurt and lost out there.

IF both teams advance, LA will need Bynum to have a chance against us.

TP Bahku.  Hold the focus, Celts....go for the kill.

I watched the Suns/Lakers game last night and the Lakers did not play with passion.  The Celtics have sometimes (Cavs game 3  ??? ) lost focus  but that seems to have served as a wake up call.  The Suns showed last night that the Lakers do not seem to like defense (or possibly zone defense) and have focus problems of their own.  Stay in the Moment!  Continue the defensive effort!  GO CELTS!  UBUNTU

(Oh, and one more thing.....Go Suns!   ;)

Bynum is a regular season show pony.  The Lakers need him to be a Thoroughbred.

It looks like he's going to get benched for Game 4, so his chance to prove that he's a thoroughbred may have to wait.

Way to back up the talk, Andrew.  Well done.  That 2 points, 2 rebounds, 4 foul performance really was a difference maker.

I usually dont like to harp on other players being hurt but I work with a Lakers fan and all season he has been trying to convince me how good Bynum was. I kept saying how I liked his game but there is no way you can depend on him because he WILL be hurt when you need him most.

It is sad (kinda) but it actually happened. This guy must be so frustrating to root for.

If that is the Bynum LA have in the Finals, the Celtics will have a clear and large advantage versus the Lakers.

I like it, TB ... I like it! I'm lovin' the Suns right now ... in a big way! And I'm hoping that, like KG said, the fans won't LET the Celtics lose tonight! Go Celts!! (Back atcha! ;))

I know we're not there yet.  But if we sweep, we'll be given tons of rest in advance of the next series.  Anyone worried we might let some of this lightening out of the bottle?  More often than not the phenomenon seems to be that, despite conventional wisdom, the team that gets more than a week's rest come out stiff...

LA didn't in the first game against the suns. As long as we give it all in practice, rust shouldn't be a problem.

^All of that is true, but you could also look at it this way:

We only need to win 5 more games this season to achieve Banner 18.

Also, we have a 3 game cushion in this series (and in the next series if we advance) before we would even have to worry about playing in an elimination game.

I like our chances.
