  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
Quote
The agent for All-Star forward Chris Bosh has narrowed the list of his client's preferred teams down to five, sources told ESPN's Chad Ford at the NBA Combine in Chicago.

The list of teams, which includes the Bulls, Lakers, Heat, Knicks and Raptors, was given to Toronto in the event they want to work a sign-and-trade should Bosh not re-sign with Toronto.

Bosh likes the option of a sign-and-trade, rather than signing with another team outright, because he could make more money and have another year added to his deal.

The Raptors would also prefer a sign-and-trade because it would allow him to replace Bosh.

"If LeBron decides to go to either New York or Chicago, I think that's where you'll see Chris land," a source told Ford. "If LeBron stays in Cleveland, I think the process is more wide open."

Link.

Interesting.  No Houston or Dallas.

I think it is in Bosh's best interests to find a way to pair up with James or Wade. Just go to one of the teams where those guys go.

Its going to be an interesting summer.

Yea, I thought that was interesting as well since he grew up in Texas. I think Dallas to be exact.

At first, that sounded very scary.  The thought of Lebron signing with Rose in Chicago, then a S&T bringing Bosh there too.  Then I looked at the salaries... who could Chicago trade to them that would be better than another team could offer?

Deng's contract is awful.  Hinrich?  Gibson?  Those are the tentative starting SG and 6/7th man for the team.  They currently have nobody else signed except James Johnson.  Their non-lottery draft pick?  Maybe S&T Acie Law and Hakim Warrick?  I don't know.

Is this S&T with Chicago a realistic possibility?  Does Miami have anything better to offer besides Beasley?  I can't imagine Bargnagni and Beasley coexisting.  NYK don't have anything.  Lakers obviously have Bynum if they're willing to part.  I'm not sure I see any S&T happening with these teams.  Houston really seems like the best bet for both teams.

I think the Bulls would be the best situation for him.  The Bulls already have a great point guard and a good center. I don't like Dallas for him because they already have a pf in Dirk. Lakers already have Gasol. The Raptors suck.

KG and our #1 for Bosh?   ;)
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Is it just me, or is Bosh overrated?
Reminds me of Jermaine O'Neill.
I admit that I don't pay all that much attention to the Raptors, but it seems to me that they always suck and they play soft.

It's funny, but I think the Raptors not being in the playoffs is helping his stock. Gasol probably scared a bunch of teams from the Boozer and Stoudemire bandwagons, but Bosh is skating free.

I think with the sign a trade route these teams can't really offer all that much but it's better than losing a star player for nothing.   Plus that star player can make more in that type of deal.

If teams are offering spare parts in a sign a trade why not us get involved.  We could trade Davis, our #1 pick, maybe throw in Daniels, T Allen, or Robinson in some sort of sign and trade as well.   Our team of course would be very attractive to a star player for the next 2 or 3 years or so if we pulled something like this off.  Of course this is probably much more of a dream.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
Why arent we offering Scal? We have always considered him to be an indispensable trading piece for every conceivable trade in the past. Are we giving up on him now????????
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

I don't see how we have what Tor would want and I am not sure we want Bosh.  I just makes no sense.

Miami would be perfect for him alongside Wade but I can’t blame the guy for wanting to go where LeBron goes. Wade and Bosh would make Miami instant contenders.
