I'm going to go out on a limb and say KG...

here's why...

do you remember how worked up everyone was because Lewis went baseline against KG...

Lewis has been a huge non-factor...

this has killed them at a time when they especially needed a #2 scorer to step up for them...

funny thing...

the C's needed PP to focus on defense against Bron so he sacrificed his offense...

on the other hand...we needed KG to focus on his offense against the Cavs and get 20 shots a game...

it now appears that KG is in the same situation...

he is focusing on defense snd sacrificing his offense...

PP doesn't have to focus as much on defense and his offense is skyrocketing...

i think this is my design and a good gameplan by the coaches...

KG's defense has been fantastic, but I think through two games, the guy who has played the most complete games has been Paul Pierce.

So far, Pierce.

I would go for Pierce too with Rondo in second place.

Very early but Paul has played extremely well on both ends so far this series.  His fast starts offensively and aggressiveness on both ends have made the Magics late game spurts irrelevant.  And guarding Carter is no piece of cake either.

Paul Pierce has definitely been our best player but I think BBD has been the key to this series offensively and defensively. When he is playing at this level we cannot lose.

Pierce has been the "MVP". But The whole team has won these first two games together, and thats when the Celtics play their best basketball...And it has certainly been showing.

I understand the OP's point.  He's essentially pointing out that what we generally conceive of as great individual play doesn't always encompass everything.  Garnett hasn't scored much this series, but he has surgically removed Lewis from the game.  He hasn't minimized him, he's freakin cauterized him.

If Lewis were averaging 16 and 5 with KG averaging 20 and 10, more people would support the notion that KG might be the MVP of this series thus far.  Instead, Lewis is averaging 6 and 5 to KG's 10 and 10.  Same net difference in scoring, he's just doing it with his defense instead of his offense.

:Shrugs: It's too early yet to really have an MPV in this series.  But I see the OP's point...KG, like Pierce, like Rondo, etc. have all been getting their particular jobs done in a major way this series.  If one's job is to take the lead as a scorer, the other to set the table, and the other to lock the defense...as long as they do the jobs to this level, I'm a happy man.

If you want to get technical the real MVP is all of our guys playing Center.

For us to be able to defend Dwight 1 on 1 really kills Orlando's offensive game.

That's who Orlando is, an inside/out bombing team.

We take away their identity with the way our Centers can just man up on Dwight.
