I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Orlando's 8-0 record is overrated.

The Bucks minus Bogut were a lottery team. No big deal.

The Hawks can't shoot and they are young. Simple. Sure the Hawks athleticism gives the Celtics' fits, but put an athletic shot blocker in front of the rim, and bye bye Hawks.

Boston vs Orlando will be a war, no doubt. And I expect a couple lopsided games. But in the end... Celtics in 6.

YES! The tears of Lebron and moronic prediction from "experts" sustain my existence!

Give me your tears, Lebron.

For the record, Orl played the Bobcats in the first round.  But yeah, I like the Celts in this series.

TP, thanks for the clarification. The point is the same. The Bobcats weren't that good (yet better then Bogut-less Milwaukee).

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I was listening to a clip from a podcast that Ric Bucher was on (on espn.com/boston under the podcast section). He said that he picked Boston against Cleveland and Orlando. Can someone confirm this? I don't remember anyone picking the C's over the Cavs.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I don't know if he "officially" picked them on espn.com (or if he was even included in that chart) but I can tell you that before the Cavs-Celtics series, on ESPN's NBA Today podcast (excellent listening), he expressed concerns about whether the Cavs were front runners. He was echoing a number of league sources who all thought that if the Cavs got punched in the mouth, they might not have it in them to recover.

Thats how i remember it too. He thought the Celtics had a really good shot at taking the Cavs out... but I could have sworn he didn't make an official prediction - just that he wouldn't be surprised if Boston won.

And at the time, that was a bold statement.

Sort of off-topic but...

During the post-game interviews with KG and RR tonight, after they talked about how tonight was one of their strongest efforts of the playoffs, some buffoon reporter from the Sporting News asked how much of the win was really just the Magic missing shots.

KG was so disgusted/amused he couldn't even respond.

Rajon gave a dry, "They just missed shots."

These guys are SICK of hearing about how Cleveland and Orlando are losing rather than Boston is winning.

Honestly, it's probably a great chip on their shoulder going forward.

(As I type this - Howard's on the podium suggesting that maybe their heart wasn't in it tonight. Hilarious).

Yup. It's a good thing that the c's continue to get disrespected by some. Keep 'em humble. Can't hurt us. Keep that chip on the shoulder. It makes us dangerous!

Well, you have to remember - these are the same reporters who were clamoring for an LA-CLE series..they are still in a state of shock.

I'm curious now that ALL ESPN and TNT analysts have climbed aboard the Cs bandwagon, what they will say about the Finals.  Here's hoping the majority of them pick the Lakers in 5-7 games so the Cs can keep feeling disrespected.
