Watcha think, guys. Was that their best shot?
No, but the Cavs look in bad shape (in large part due to Mike Brown) so they may not be capable of that much more than they've shown already tonight.

I think they've shown plenty tonight. After game 5, they really responded well. And even Mike Brown has upped his game tonight.

Yeah. More touches for KG, ball movement was atrocious. Make the easy pass. Make the extra pass.

And for crying out loud, stop the guards turning the corner.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Wasn't that Avery guy a coach for some team at some point?

Since sarcasm doesn't flow over the internet, is that a serious question?
I was genuinely confusing him with someone, I guess. Was he? I remember someone with a voice like that coaching some team.

.edit: nvm, googled it. I now also understand the sarcasm thingy. Mah bad matey, I'm a bit off on basketball knowledge ;)

Ah ok. Wasn't sure. Yea, he coached the Mavs when they went to the Finals. won coach of the year, as well.

Oh and Mo Williams is the man for Cleveland in the biggest game of James's career?

If the Cavs win it, I don't think LBJ or anyone in Cleveland will mind....
Celtics fan for life.

Rondo should play off him a bit. Ball pressure up until the reach the offensive zone. Then make him hit a few jumpers.

Gotta defend well on Williams in the 2nd half.

I would give Marquis some minutes also, he can contribute defensively and his knack for cutting to the basket would help us tremendously when we need a bucket, thus starting to melt the Cavs defense. He should get his chance especially if the foul trouble continues.

Ugh... ESPN - can we talk about the whole game and not just Lebron?

Not possible, it's his game the other teams are just playing it.  ::)

It is amazing.  I am really not one to complain about announcers or refs, but I have turned the volume off -- and every time I take a listen -- they are talking about LBJ...

What do you mean by "bad shape?"

The Cavs are more than capable of taking this game. I think both teams look in equal shape! Lets go Celtics!!!!!!

He coached the Mavs after an on-again, off-again career with Spurs.

Avery Johnson might be a well spoken, intelligent, knowledgeable basketball "expert" but, with that Fran Drescher like male squeaky voice, he doesn't belong anywhere near a microphone doing analysis on radio or television. His voice is maybe as annoying as a car alarm going off at 3 AM where when you're really tired and trying to sleep and the freaking car owner won't go out and shut the thing off.
I like Avery's voice. Sounds odd, funny, full of character.

I used to love hearing his player interviews + in game soundbites when he was barking orders out ... back when he was playing.

And also has the highest winning % in the history in the NBA. His voice does annoy me too.

Who just did that reporting from cleveland?

"Almost everyone [in cleveland] is hoping for a game seven."

Orly?
