Wasn't that Avery guy a coach for some team at some point?

Since sarcasm doesn't flow over the internet, is that a serious question?

People are really calling out TA's defense? He had one bad play where he went for the upfake, but was forcing TO's and locking down anybody he covered.

  • Thank you Eddie!
Ugh... ESPN - can we talk about the whole game and not just Lebron?
Today, ESPN is to the Cavs what NESN is to the Red Sox.

Avery Johnson might be a well spoken, intelligent, knowledgeable basketball "expert" but, with that Fran Drescher like male squeaky voice, he doesn't belong anywhere near a microphone doing analysis on radio or television. His voice is maybe as annoying as a car alarm going off at 3 AM where when you're really tired and trying to sleep and the freaking car owner won't go out and shut the thing off.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
I don't see it from Lecrab tonight, he just doesn't look like he is going to come out and have a good second half. Paul and Ray on the other hand, I think are going to come out strong, and just when they adjust for them... Rondo time.

I'll admit I'm worried as Lebron has done little and its only a two point lead. Also don't like our shot selection at times and the turnovers. Foul trouble is a concern too.

Then again, we haven't hit a three and Pierce has been quiet. Hopefully we explode in the second half.

Oh and Mo Williams is the man for Cleveland in the biggest game of James's career?

Good summary.  It's anyone's game depending on who gets into their game the firstest and the hardest.

Seriously, Doc needs to stop using Finley. Put Daniels if anything and let Ray rest a bit from having to follow James around.

Agreed 100 percent. Much rather see Marquis than Finley.
To be honest Finley didn't contribute anything but neither did he do anything wrong or was he the reason the played poorly.

I don't like how he being there changes how our unit needs to adapt. With Daniels in there, we have a more active and faster unit, a person who can be put on LeBron and give Ray a break (he pretty much played the whole half), plus it gives us more ball handlers when Rondo is on the bench.

Maybe Pierce can show up in the second half.

My my... wouldn't that be lovely?
We need 15-20 points from Ray and Paul and you can call this series over

I hate when Pierce makes those faces. He's making them in this game. Stop thinking & Play PP

Watcha think, guys. Was that their best shot?
No, but the Cavs look in bad shape (in large part due to Mike Brown) so they may not be capable of that much more than they've shown already tonight.

There's no way I could play for him without wanting to try and imitate him in the locker room behind his back...something that would no doubt backfire.  I'm not sure he was born with a complete set...

Please. Mo Williams got to the rim against him whenever he wanted, forcing Rondo back into the ballgame. He lets down when he's not on James.

Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

I was genuinely confusing him with someone, I guess. Was he? I remember someone with a voice like that coaching some team.

.edit: nvm, googled it. I now also understand the sarcasm thingy. Mah bad matey, I'm a bit off on basketball knowledge ;)

I agree need to go to KG more. Need Ray to step up and hit some threes. Need some points and D from Pierce. Need Mo Williams to not hit another shot until October.

What do you mean by "bad shape?"

i prefer LBJ on offense right now....we need to clamp williams down and the rest will take care of itself. no way williams gets 15 plus second half...and i can live with LBJ getting 12-15
