I don't think a lot of people here are gonna agree with you, MMac.  But if you think this is what happened, how do you feel about the prospects of LeBron in Cleveland going forward?  Blowing off the most important game of the year, for a team with championship aspirations, because you're mad at the coach is a pretty big red flag for a superstar, isn't it?  How do you feel about the prospect of continuing to build around this guy?

There is some precedent for this...remember this game?  Lakers go up 3-1 on the Suns, but in Game 7 Kobe just stops trying at halftime, has 1 pt and 1 assist in the 2nd half.  But Kobe wasn't trying to get his coach fired, and his team didn't have a shot to do much more if they won.  Kobe's just kind of a (female dog with puppies).  What's LeBron's excuse?

Come on!! The guy wins how many regular season wins!!  See,  This is what the media does to people.  The simple fact is Boston is a much better team then people are giving them credit for.  Healthy, they are Champs.  

For crying out loud they have Pierce, Garnett, And Allen on the same team.

People couldn't wait to jump on their demise and the fact is they did it a little prematurely.

Look at these three stats next to Lebron's over the long haul.  Add, they have rings.

In this world of immediate gratification they blame everyone and ignore the obvious.

If this were true (and I really don't think it is), then I would not want Lebron on the Cavs, as much as that really pains me to say it.  That shows a level of immaturity that I just can't get on board with.  I have a very young son.  He i already playing basketball with me and watching some of the games.  He isn't old enough yet to really understand what is going on, but when he is, I want him to be able to watch someone who will teach him good values on the court.  This type of immaturity would not be good values.

Either way, Lebron James Quit on The Cavs Tuesday. IMO, his effort (or Lack of it) was more Disrespectful to The Boston Celtics than anything else.

Even if Lebron put forth his max effort on Tues, The Celtics would've still won, but it would've been a lot more competitive.

Lebron James quit on Tuesday - sure the Celtics Defense certainly slowed him down, but Michael Jordan, Magic, Larry Bird Never Quit on their Teams - Never.

This post is so true which is why I would be absolutely amazed if Lebron quit.  He is too smart to tarnish his reputation with something so silly.

Now, if his elbow was hurting, his shot was way off and his team was showing no signs of life I could see him taking it easy to rest his elbow in an attempt to be fresher for Game 6.

I could see this actually being true as Mike Brown has been really pounding the post with Shaq. Shaq is the wrong center for the type of ball the Cavs excell the most at, speed and fastbreak ball.

I misunderstood your OP, then - I thought you were saying this was what you believe happened last night, not that some of the more conspiracy-oriented fans were saying this.  TP for clarifying, and being here after what was probably a rough night.

I agree with the elbow thing a lot more than the "LeBron quit so he can get his coach fired after the season, which he could do whether the Cavs win this series or not" argument.

I just remember those days when Bird was hurt - he would be over there on the floor near the Celtics Bench trying to stretch out his bad back...man was a Warrior.

If Lebron is hurt, that's one thing - but the man turns around and torches us twice this series already - I just don't know.

LeBron didn't tank - we denied him the ball and limited his lanes. One of his problems is he doesn't move without the ball. It was painfully obvious that this was a serious issue last night.

This may belong in the 'around the nba' section so please move it if you feel it should be there.  I am posting here because the Cavs are currently playing the Celtics.

There is growing talk in Cleveland that the Cavs players want Mike Brown out and are basically quitting on him.  It all starts with Lebron but he isn't the only one who is upset.

The lax effort was to ensure that management saw that Brown's oaching strategy is flawed and that he relies solely on Lebron to get him out of tough spots.

Not sure what I think of this (even though it is just speculation now, although it is gaining a lot legs).  I definitely think Brown holds the Cavs back, but I would hope that Cleveland management would see this without the Cavs resorting to tanking games.

Also, please don't construe this as me saying I think the Cavs could easily beat the Celtics if they would play how hey should (small, athletic and quick).  What I am saying is that I wish they would at least try that approach and Brown refuses to

I believe LeBron did quit to a certain extent but not because he wants Coach Mike Brown Fired. He partially quit because the Celtics Defense was too tough, the Big 3 all had it going on, and Rajon Rondo torched them the game before. Rondo got into LeBron's Head Psychologically with his 29/18/13 performance during game 4. What reason does LeBron have to believe that the Cavs can beat the Celtics in a 7 game series? Too many weapons, too tough D.

As I said in a post before the series, giving the C's a 50% chance to win (only reason it was that low was the inconsistent regular season they had) because the Celtics clearly had the next 4 best players in this series after LeBron. What they are accomplishing here shouldn't be a surprise for anyone who watched the Miami series and knows about the teams recent past, excluding the 2009-2010 regular season.
