Sorry, but any real/true Celtics fan, like myself, despises Bill Simmons. 

I don't like Simmons, but I disagree that "true" fans can't like him.  There's no one thing that defines a "true" or "real" fan, and no individual fan / poster is the arbiter of everyone's likes and dislikes.

I don't like his attitude towards Doc and this team overall, but I really enjoy his articles and podcasts.

he can feel what he wants, but he has flirted with OKC and LAC a little too much for my taste. that being said, he was very upfront and honest when he said this celtic team was not very likeable during the season. cannot argue that point too much. the question is, where is the line between being a loyal fan and just a kool aid drinking yes-man to whatever a team does?

He's such a flip flopper and doesn't believe that Doc Rivers is a good coach.

He was a hater when Ainge pulled the trigger to land Ray and he was a hater of Rondo's during the championship season.

He didn't think PJ Brown would contribute during the championship season nor did he think Sheed COULD turn it around this season come playoff time.

He's a hater until they win it all, and even then he's reluctant to apologize and give credit when it's due.

Exactly, he's a Laker fan.

And I will go a step further to say that a lot of "true" fans have agreed with a lot of what Simmons has said.  A true fan does not necessarily mean they are an optimist.

You can put them in the same box and ship them out to LA.

I haven't had a chance to read Simmons' draft diary yet. But he's also been talking about the Celtics. (Although I don't know what incentive the Knicks can offer that would make taking on Curry palatable, particularly given that he's back in the headlines.)

My prediction for the Celts off-season in 5 parts: 1) Doc Rivers comes back and hires Lawrence Frank as his lead assistant.

2) Pierce opts out, then Boston re-signs him for 3 yrs, $51 million with a smaller cap figure in 2010-11 ($17m instead of $21.5m)

3) Knowing someone else is going to overpay Ray Allen, Celts make a July 1st play for JJ Redick (full midlevel exception: 5 yrs, $33m).

4a) Celts shop Rasheed's '11 cap figure ($6.3m) for a big man from a team that needs cap/tax relief and can just buy out Sheed for 2-3m.

4b) Possible candidates for a Sheed deal: Biedrins, Murphy, Chandler, Songalia, even (gulp) Eddy Curry (if NYC throws in an enticement).

5) Kurt Thomas for the lower veteran's exemption. I'm just feeling it. So there you go. I'm on the record.

I like Reddick in addition to Ray.  He'd make a hell of a backup for both Pierce and Ray.

I think Orlando matches.  He was on the court in key moments last year.  He spreads the floor nicely for Howard.  His defense is improving.

He has some Kirk Hinrich in his D, doesn't he? That plus 40% from three and he's a great free throw shooter... very nice.

There's a difference between, thinking they will lose, and wanting them to lose.

Net's fans know their team will lose. It's ok to think your team will lose, that's different then not wanting them to win.

Not sure if you're intending to re-open the old discussion but to your question--

Marc Stein is a Mavericks fan. Henry Abbott is a Trailblazers fan. Neither of these things is a secret.

I'm also 90% sure Adande is a Lakers fan.

I think Simmons is saying Ray will go elsewhere and Redick would be our starting SG next season.  Can't say I really like that idea (though he'd probably be more consistent from long range).

If we keep Ray and sign Redick, that makes TA and Avery Bradley both kind of redundant.  So signing Redick doesn't make much sense unless Ray is leaving, and in that case I'd say we take a hit defensively and perhaps offensively.
