Just a little place where we can share experiences concerning basketball shoes guys.

I'll kick it of with the ones I just bought, Nike Hyperize. I can't judge them yet since I've yet to play a game on them, but they are so amazingly light, it's ridiculous.

Here's a pic:

I got the top left one, white.

Before I bought this pair, I used to order my shoes at NikeID.com, so that I could have my number (44) on it. You can actually put together your own shoe there.

Anyone got any shoes they can recommend? I'm up for buying multiple pairs :p

Hyperizes cause more ankle injuries than Hyperdunks. I'll go with Hyperdunks, considered one of the greatest bball shoes of all time.

Despite my hate for LeBron James, I have to give him credit for his shoes. I have owned 3 different pairs and they have all been very comfortable and supportive shoes. I love them

Oh man, I had those in my hands but they just looked too heavy. As a guard I prefer light shoes, especially since my first step is rather important. I used to have bulky shoes too though ;) And they do look good :D

Last basketball shoes I had:

Nike Air Flight '95... Made for Jason Kidd
They were re-released sometime last year. I got them real cheap
($30 or so on sale from $90 on Black Friday)

They lasted about two months before I couldn't wear them anymore. They shredded up my ankles, the in sole tore away from the shoe, cloth around the ankles ripped releasing a metallic object that dug into my ankles, etc.

I will say I jumped higher and had more traction in these shoes than any other shoes I've ever owned... but the good qualities only lasted a few weeks. I kept playing in them, I thought maybe I just needed to break them in, until they made my ankles bleed.

I've been playing in running shoes since like February now, helps me run faster but I have terrible traction and support in them.

I'm buying some new bball shoes tomorrow with the birthday cash I got today. I plan on finding a good cheap pair again, hopefully I find a diamond in the rough that is cheap basketball shoes. I'll let you guys know what I end up getting later.

As I play downlow My first step isnt too important haha. Notoriously, i have gotten blisters and foot pains from bball shoes, but The newest LeBrons did not give me any (not even the first time i wore them). Great shoes imo

Good point. You don't want to see my feet either :p Always horrible.

Can't wait to put these new puppies to the test though.

I ashamedly have Zoom Kobe IIIs,

They are absolutely great shoes however, Really light and really flexible but at the same time have some pretty sound ankle support (around the base at least).

I just picked up a pair of these online Klorr.
The colours are funky.
They're the east all star 2010 version.
and you're right... they are super super light.

These are my favorites, (the blue Flightposite 3 Battlegrounds), but I don't wear them often ... took too long to find them and too much to purchase them, lol. (#107)

Interesting that most of us have Nike..

Mine are Nike as well..about 3 years old, and all black. I can certainly attest to the weight comments mentioned in this thread, because when my wife sent me the shoes during my deployment the first thing I thought when I put them on was "Wow - these things are Light!"

I usually will keep a pair for like 7-8 years, lol..then get a new pair.
