I suspect you'll see them going against each other quite a bit Tuesday night ...

Yup. And that is not good news.

Maybe. Maybe not.

If that's the opening matchup, then I want to see Rondo taking the leaper to the rack. I want to make the officials blow the whistle.

I'd much rather just see Mo Williams or Anthony Parker on him than LBJ.

With two of those guys, we know RR is going to torch his defender.

Well, it's a game of adjustments. You KNOW Cleveland will come back with something different Tuesday night.

The challenge will be to attack the adjustment. Make James play defense cleanly. I don't think he can handle Rondo all night without fouling, and if they make the switch, then Pierce has to answer that by torching his guy.

I'm on my phone right now, but can someone post Rondo's averages for his last 23 playoff games? (This year and last year.)

I see a problem with that given Pierce's contributions lately. But he's gotta give us one good game. Right? Right?

BTW, may send you a pm - curious about your coaching career. Want to get into it myself.

Can someone answer this for me?

I had always thought that Danny instructed Phoenix to draft Rondo. They were drafting for us. Rondo was not their choice.

But a couple of people have suggested that Danny saw Rondo fall to Phoenix and then acquired him.

Which is it?

That would be a huge key to winning game 5. I'll be STUNNED if James doesn't draw the Rondo assignment.

I'm with Bo, Rondo needs to take James to the rack and force the refs to call things and Pierce needs to step up if this happens.

Wait a minute. Lets stop and consider the fact that he just grabbed 18 freaking boards....Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.? Thats insane!!! These numbers are numbers lebron doesnt even put up. Rondo earned himself the rank of captain of this team if you ask me. Hes just killing it right now.

I wrote on the main page that this may have been the best Celtics single-game playoff performance ever. And, while I know that may be a little over the top, think about this. When was the last time a barely 6-foot point guard had 18 rebounds, 4 of them on the offensive end? That is freakish. If that was all he did he would have been outstanding, but we all know the rest. One for the ages, and so glad that my son and I were there to see it. Writing Rondo's numbers on the back of the ticket stub for my son's collection.
