I need some serious advice ASAP for tomorrow's game!!! Please help!!!

I think you'll have no problems.....that guy sounds like a regular CL crook trying to bluff his way to more $$.....he could have called the cops by now if he wanted to (I'm sure he knows his dad's ph#).....plus he knows your address like you said...so, txt msgs seem like empty threats.....I'm sure you'll be fine....just take a copy of your emails/communication with you (just in case)....its no biggie...you didn't point a gun to his head and demand that he sell the tickets to you...it was his duty to count the money and make sure he was paid in full before he shook on it.

Yeah ... BFM nailed it here ... I don't see how you are liable in any way whatsoever. The transaction was agreed upon and completed ... if there was a discrepency, it would've had to have been recognized and dealt with at the time of the transaction. Sounds like a typical CL crook with nothing to stand on. In fact, if he keeps it up, he's getting very close to harrassment territory ... and threatening you with his father being a cop is also illegal.

Well, hope this works well for you. Stuff like this is why I stay away from Craiglist. Not to mention they really don't sell the cheap kind of tickets...or at least, I haven't found any.

That said....if your husband really talked this out with the guy the way you said he did, as in, you did get surefire assurance that the tickets were $100 per ticket and not $200 per ticket, then I feel like that's enough to say this guy's trying to scam or at least scare the heck out of you for more cash. I mean, personally, I think three phone calls + a meetup in person is a lotta conversation to then still have misunderstandings on the ticket prices once it was time for you to finally get them. Follow that up with having the original receipt...and yeah, maybe the guy can't count! 

If you do infact have hard tickets, yeah, like everyone else said, get their early, if security turns you down then explain the situation, and yeah...there is always StubHub/Ace Tickets/etc. I suppose if you still wanna go. And yeah, fat chance it happens, but hopefully the guy refunds you.
