How flippin' awesome would it be if we /SWEEP/ the Magic?

I mean seriously, think about that for a second :D

That won't happen.  This will be a very hard fought series.  The regular season games were all close, even though the Celtics weren't healthy for most of those.

I actually feel pretty good about the Celtics in this series.  We almost beat this team last year without KG!  But the Magic are playing even better this year than they were last year.  It's going to be interesting.

You hit on something I think we should stress: one comparison we can't really make is with last year's playoffs. This Magic team is even better than that one. Howard is better, the underrated Jameer Nelson is back, and they have deep, quality pieces, including Matt Barnes, who's going to be a pest all series. We're obviously better than last year too but we shouldn't assume anything based on 09. This is a different animal.

One nice aspect of playing Orlando is it's going to be easier to deter Vince from driving to the basket. Smack him around a few times and he'll start settling for jumpers. Our success is going to come from limiting their perimeter scoring, and to a lesser extent, their dribble penetration.

One big positive - after defending Wade and LeBron for 2 series, TA, Ray, and Paul should all feel pretty good about their ability to defend Vince Carter.

Agreed. Also - we could get something out of Marquis this series.

I think we see an activated Scalabrine in this series as he really does play excellent defense on Rashard Lewis.

Hope you're right Nick. Then if Scal has a few good games, we can have the "Scalabrine Apology Thread"

Orlando doesnt scare me one bit, sorry for being overly cocky but is it just me was thinking earlier if fully healthy the magic will be nothing but a small bump in the road with all our size upfront?

p.s. yes the season hasnt even started so be easy, im just overly excited about this team
