Glad to see a bunch of you already assuming the Celtics will beat the Cavs.

Well, we don't assume that we'll win. CLE is a Great Team, most definitely, but as for me - If the Celtics continue to play at the level Defensively that they have for the last couple of weeks, then I certainly like our Opportunity.

We had CLE on the ropes in game one, only to be done in by Lebron's late game heroics. But that's what he does.

The Celtics have given me every indication thus far that they intend on fighting until the end, and that gives me the belief that something special could be in the making the next few weeks.

But: They've got to keep pressing on. CLE is a Great Team, but when the Celtics are playing Celtics Basketball, they are close to invincible.

We have Rajon, KG and Ray Ray playing consistently good basketball..Perk is holding down the middle against tall timber...Sheed is showing signs of a pulse....

Once Pierce gets unhinged, we will be very hard to beat.

I can't disagree with any of this right now until the Cavs show me some sign that they can play at a much higher level than they did in Game 1 and Game 2

I think that much of the reason that the Cavs aren't playing at a higher level is because the Celts defense  is so stifling. I don't think the Cavs can just kick it up a notch without a letdown from the Celts.

The Celtics have played great D, definitely.  But, the Cavs have also been lethargic.  I am not saying that if the Cavs turn it on they will win, I am saying the Cavs need to turn it on if they have any chance winning

I think all of Orlando's very good perimeter players playing off Howard like a pivot will be very challenging for us. As well as a healthy Jameer Nelson and Vince Carter. I think that if we get past Cleveland, they will be tougher for us.

Tis being said, if our team is playing healthy and on all cylinders with maximum effort for 48 minutes, I don't think anyone can beat us.

The big X factor for us is a focused, intense effort for 48 minutes. If we conquer that demon, we can raise #18.

BBall makes a Good point about the Celtics Defense..

Defense is what KG does, and seeing him move without any pain gives me the Single Point of emphasis that The Celtics can do this.

KG + Any semblance of Lateral Movement = Scary.

The man opened my eyes Big Time with the blow by of Varejao and the dunk. I have not seen KG take anyone off the dribble like that since early 2009.

He gives me hope that we have an answer for Jamison and Rashard Lewis, but we definitely still have our hands full with CLE.

And MMacOh makes a good point about CLE being lethargic, but the Green in me says that this is because the Celtics Defense affected them that way.

Must - Keep - Lebron - Bottled - Up.

I'm not talking about another team until we win this series.  Period.

I think Orlando and Boston are relatively even teams, and I think it would come down to a "nearly washed up, pseudo-superstar" shootout between Pierce and Carter.  If I had to place a bet on that, my money would be on Pierce, but I would not put it past Carter to pull out a little of his old magic (no pun intended) in a situation like that.

Trust me, that's the last thing I'm doing.

I keep saying this to people here, and I keep saying it to myself...right now I only feel optimistic enough that I think the Celtics will stretch this series to 6 or 7 games.  Not ready to even go near "winning the series and going to the ECF" yet.

Right now the Cavs scare me. If we can get past them the Magic will scare me.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Well I'll just discuss the Magic-Hawks outside of the context of the Celtics Cavs.

The Hawks first of all always get drubbed on the road in the playoffs going back to 2008. They're like 2-12 or something with an average margin of defeat of over 20 points. They are truly a pathetic road team in the postseason. I knew they woul get blown out one of these first two games, of course I didn't think it would be this bad.

Nut Orlando is playing very well. The only way to contain them is to play Howard one-on-one and then close to the shooters quickly. If you double on Howard he will find the open shooter and they love the 3 ball. Atlanta has no chance in the series because they have noone to play Howard one-on-one and have to double him. Meaning there is always someone wide open for the 3. Players 1-4 will fire the 3 ball on the Magic so if a team can contain the 3, Orlando can be beat..
