We kind of had a discussion about this earlier today, without naming any names of course.

A very good pick,

Edit: Ooops

nick was discussing a potential coaching candidate, as he'd forgotten that one team hasn't picked yet.

Just want to give props to all the participating owners and panelists. This has been a very enjoyable experience and the level of maturity and lack of contentiousness that has been displayed has been fabulous.

Let's keep it that way and continue to have fun.

It's been awesome. Hard to get heated over, I hope, it's just cool.

Question: can the #1 pick tomorrow start now if they wanted to avoid the 5 minute window? Obviously late limit that #2 has to make his/her pick wouldn't change.

(i'm cool either way, just wondering)

I try to keep the evenings open for owners to negotiate trades with each other and for people to get caught up on their draft boards and do extra research, if they need to.

I try to open the draft 45-60 minutes early everyday so that people won't be held down to the 5 minute window. Also, being a veteran of other drafts, the 10 to 15 minute window late in the draft makes for extended periods of people waiting around to make trades and people tend, after a certain amount of their roster is filled out, not to be to picky about missing their turn so you end up waiting around a lot.

This 5 minute window is something I'm trying out to see how it works. I'm trying some other stuff not done in other drafts like announcing when people's time has run out, the panelists, the panelist vote to fill in players into teams that miss their vote before the next day starts and a couple of other smaller things.

Ultimately the grand daddy of all these drafts is the CB Draft held in late summer. I wanted, given that this was my baby, to try some stuff and if the people who run the CB Draft liked the way things worked out, maybe they would like to incorporate it in their draft.

I'm making Redz' picks for him, so I'd be happy to make your selections, as well.
