Teams in the playoffs are expected to win at home,a split is a steal(bonus)if a team can get one...as one superstar said when they were 2-2 in the OKC vs Lakers series,"the home teams did what they were suppose to do",people(fans)start panicing when theres nothing to panic about.Hope we can get this one tonight but its not the end if they don't.

No, they don't have to win game 2...but it will be a whole lot tougher if they don't.

Yes

If we lose game 2 and go down 0-2 we are toast.

yep, i agree. but to honest, i expect the celtics to win game two coming up.

in game one, they had the game won...until they decided in the third period to stop attacking the basket and rely more upon outside jump shots.

they also needed to tighten up their defense in the 3rd period.

if the celtics can play hard all 48 minutes it is the cavaliers who will be toast.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yes -- I cannot see this Celtics team winning four out of five against that Cleveland team which is what they would have to do if they dropped the first two games of this series. They need to win game two.

Easy to get sucked into thinking like this, but as cliche as it is, you gotta take one game at a time.  Win games 3 and 4 at home.  Lose game 5 on the road.  Win game 6 at home.  Nothing out of the ordinary there.  Then anything goes in a game 7...

I don't think we need to win game 2 as long as we take care of business at home, which I think we can.  But, I do feel like we need it.

I agree with this.

I can imagine a scenario where they lose this game and win the next 2 and everyone is back on the Celtics can upset the Cavs bandwagon.

It's a canard that they ' have ' to win game 2.

It's borderline, them losing tonight really cuts the chances they have of winning this series.  Also, I'm not sure on this team's desire right now, if they lose game 2, I could see them packing it up early and giving them the rest of the series.
do it

You don't have to, but it certainly helps your chances in the series.

Good thing the C's took care of business tonight and we don't have to continue this debate. Now we can move onto whether or not Game 3 is a must win!

Remember Detroit beat the C's in game two at home in 2007-2008.

Yeah, I was thinking about that series too. We need to play in the same hungry aggressive mode like most of the game tonight. Doc needs to keep the players down to earth, and remind them all the time that we haven't done nothing yet.
