The main players for next year will remain mostly the same.
I agree this is most likely, but I think they will explore moving Ray and Perk, depending on their contract demands, and the value they can get back. But ultimately, the most likely case is they both return.
I also expect them to explore moving Davis (if they can get value), and Sheed (if they can shed the contract), but again, I have my doubts that a deal that actually helps the team is out there.
In addition to the 6 players already under contract, Ray and TA will be resigned.
Agreed. TA is an almost certainty IMO, unless someone offers him a ridiculous amount of money.
Finley will probably retire but I wouldn't mind him returning. Nice shooter to have coming off the bench but probably not enough minutes and not really the young, athletic SF we need on the bench.
Agree again. Finley is always welcome back, but I would be shocked if he does come back, unless it is on a half season thing.
Daniels, Scal and Shelden will most certainly be gone. I wouldn't mind Shelden returning but he's shown he's worth more than a vet min deal and I don't think Danny will offer more than that to resign.
I think Scal will return for the vet minimum. He is a good chemistry guy, and a valuable depth player. If he is willing to take the pay cut, I think this would be a no brainer for the C's. Agree on Shelden and Daniels though, neither of whom I think impressed the C's enough to stick around for more than the minimum, which I don't see either taking.
Nate would be the question mark. He's probably looking for more minutes than he'd realistically get behind Rondo and for more $ than Danny probably wants to pay. I think he's gone.
I think he is absolutely gone. The fact that he can't stay in the rotation is telling, and I have heard rumors they don't like his maturity level.
The two kids Danny signed for summer camp invites would be a surprise to make the team next year. Maybe the PG will make it as the 3rd stringer--showed he's got some potential.
Yup, they are both longshots, but they have an inside shot at making the end of the roster.
So hold on for this playoff ride. This'll be our best shot for the next few years unless Danny strikes gold late in the next couple of drafts.
Yeah, we are probably going to be looking at a majorly declining team falling more firmly into the middle of the pack next year. Although I do think there is a very good chance if Danny does not find the right deal during the summer, he could make some dramatic moves next trade deadline.
