Ended up being matchups between The Spurs, Thunder, Jazz and the Trailblazers

Its not unlikely as i see it right now with Kobe Bryan being a shadow of his former self and it would be one of the most odd years in basketball if that were to happen.. and more importently if this senario comes to pass, who would then win the west?

If its those four teams, I'd like San Antonio's chances.  They're some pretty good basketball right now and probably have the least amount of question marks of those four squads.

I have a sneaking suspicion the Spurs are gonna be in the WCF no matter how things shake out.  I'd like to see your scenario play out in the upper half of the bracket too (I'd still like to see the Suns advance for a classic Suns-Spurs rematch though).

My preseason prediction was Celtics/Spurs in the Finals. It looked like a dumb prediction most of the year (and might still be given that Boston has to get through CLE and ORL). But the Spurs pick isn't looking so ridiculous right now.

Of all the higher Western seeds, I do think Phoenix will advance (Nuggets are done, Mavs are done, and I really do think the Lakers will lose). I don't think I can predict a Suns/Spurs matchup - it'll be very close, but I will say that I think the winner of Suns/Spurs wins the West.

San Antonio are the second best team in the Western Conference (if they knock out Dallas as expected). They will beat the Suns or Blazers and will be in the Conference Finals ... where they'll play and lose to LA.

... Then the Spurs would likely go on to win the whole thing... unfortunately too b/c I REALLY despise the Spurs' organization.

That would be aweeesome. Although I'd rather see the Suns win than the Blazers.

Why do you hate the Spurs organization? They really seam to go about their work very smartly.

I only hold their Tim Duncan lotto luck against them.  :P

Jazz VS Spurs in WCF. Book it.

I want it to be OKC in there somewhere, but I don't think they have enough offense to get it done.

I really hope this is the case.  I'd be happy with either of those teams going to the Finals.  Though I have a hard time seeing either winning it all....I guess we'll see.

I really think it will be the Spurs vs. OKC in the WCF. I think the Lakers are done....DONE. Stick a fork in em. I love it! I think the Mavs are done as well. Utah is good, but I like OKC's athletic team and they are hungry too. Utah will have no answer for Durantula either, just like the Lakers.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it. Celtics vs. Spurs in the Finals and Celtics win in 6. Bring on banner #18!

Right now I think I'd rate the top 3 in the WC as 1-Jazz close 2nd-Spurs 3-Suns

The only way OKC wins the series is if they win tonight in LA, which seems pretty unlikely to me.  They're definitely not winning Game 7 in LA.

Looks like I spoke too soon eh? Those [dang] Lakers finally decided to show up to the series last night. I so want to put on my Tommy shades on and still pick OKC to win this thing in 7, but if the Lakers who showed up last night show up again in OKC on Friday - this thing is over unfortunately. The sleeping dragon out west AKA the Fakers may have finally awoken. If that's the case, they will win the Western Conference and be in the finals, it's that simple. No other team out West can match them when they play like that.
