Clark lost him. It was a good movement by SteveG but you cannot be exposed like that in the back.

England's players lost all confidence after the goal. Early goal in the second half might be the crucial blow. I would exploit Glen Johnson who's very average defensively.

All 3 keepers England have are mediocre but Joe Hart is the lesser of three evils.

They went to the game, were kind of local celebrities, and simply hung out with people, had beers, and found themselves some Brazilian "girlfriends."

What's this "girlfriends" business you are on about?  :D

Capello should send Rooney up front.

it`s obvious that Rooney can contribute playing behind the striker

that's what you call a bill buckner moment.

I only managed to catch the final half an hour of the game. Very disappointed to miss most of the match.

Anyways, just looking at the team selection now and it was a horror show from Capello. 7-8 years of evidence clearly finds that Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard cannot play alongside one another in the middle of the park without a defensive midfielder behind them who can win possession and link up the play and play with excellent discipline. They just can't do it.

So what does Capello do? He plays James Milner. Bloody idiot. Milner's best talents are going forward. He is an attacking midfielder. He does not bring the necessary skills to the table. The one alteration changes the whole balance of the team and left England in a terrible position.

If Capello continues to go forward with this plan, England simply have no hope of winning the World Cup which is a shame because I think they're the best or the second best (Spain?) team in the tournament.

I'm also disappointed to see Green in goal instead of David James who is clearly the superior player.

I love the way Capello uses an impact sub, someone who offers a different skill-set (than the guy coming off) and is capable of creating in the final third, as his main substitute around the 60-65 minute mark ... but I think that SWP is too similar to Aaron Lennon on the other wing. I'd rather see him go with Joe Cole who offers a different type of weapon to both Milner and to Lennon. Gives the opposition something completely different to worry about.

So, I didn't like that substitution either. I thought Milner for SWP was a very poor decision. At the very least, Cole should have come on for Lennon at the 60 minute mark to make up for the poor initial decision.

David James is 39 after an awful year in the worst team in the EPL. He's the worst of all 3. Even in his peak he was mediocre.

Joe Hart had a very good season at Birmingham and maybe the only reason why Capello didn't pick him is his age. I think he will start in the next game.

I agree Who.  Capello's decision making was questionable at best.  When I saw Milner was starting, my first question was, "what about Cole?"  Then when Milner was subbed I thought the logical choice was Cole and was completely shocked when SWP came in.  Just like you said, Lennon and SWP are almost the same player...would have been better to bring SWP in the 70th minute for fresh legs, where he could of had a big impact.
