Make up all the excuses you want to---BUT, when Game 7 rolls around and we are too worn out to give Cleveland a series, you'll look back to THIS disgraceful 4th quarter effort.

You honestly believe that this series is going 7 games now based on a game that saw an epic performance by one opposing player and a somewhat offensive meltdown down the stretch by the C's?

I think we're fine. Wade just couldnt miss

Did anyone see the pregame on ABC when they were talking about what to do with wade? what did barry say - it was something like "i'd go with the ??willbee?? approach, keep wade and get rid of everyone else". i must have misheard that

i recall boston going 7 vs atlanta and 7 vs the cavs and winning.....i recall boston going 7 vs the bulls and then 7 vs orlando without KG and ANY bigs off the bench....

they will be fine...doc cut numbers big time at the end of the season. rest isn't really an issue that you are making it out to be.

I would like to thank DOC RIVERS for wearing out his BIG 3 in the 3rd quarter---By playing them ALL the ENTIRE time----THUS leading to 5 MISSED free throws to LOSE this game for us....GOOD Coaching there.
Once again, you need to chill.  Yeah, we choked the last 4 minutes, but no defense in NBA history could have stopped Wade from having that 4th quarter.  If Wade didn't magically go into NBA Jam "HE'S ON FIRE!!!" mode, this series is over.  There wouldn't have been a chance to choke late in the 4th.

He was on FIRE---cause they decided to STOP playing defense after the 3rd---They let Miami just bring the ball up with NOBODY near them-!
What game were you watching?  Wade wasn't left wide open, and he was double teamed far away from the basket.  No defense can stop what Wade just did.

When we were DOMINATING the HEAT in this series---we were Pressuring the inbounds....NEVER happened one time in the 4th today!

there's no excuse for this end of game performance---none whatsoever.

blown layup, blown free throws, bad defense allowing a last-second layup by Miami.

True, they could have closed better. But if it's going to take a 20 point fourth quarter from wade along with 5/5  :o shooting on contested 3 pointers for him to get his team to care about not going home, I'm very ok with 3-1 headed back to boston.

I mean, this sucks because we don't just finish it with a sweep, but if Miami's only hope is a absolutely superb performance for wade that includes a 3PT percentage over 60% at the moment, I;m pretty confident we're moving on shortly...like in game 5.

Lets give credit where it's due. I feel alot of times as fans, we never credit anything, it's always something our team did wrong.

But in this case, while they could have closed alittle better, Wade had an out of his mind fourth quarter. 3 of his 3 pointers where very well defended. He had a near perfect quarter to give his team the win.

A hit tip by me to him. I don't think he can do it 3 games straight, so i'm not concerned.

He'll still play well, but not "whatever double team im rising up and burying yet ANOTHER 3 pointer" well. and without his transcendent start and fourth quarters today, the heat are pedestrian.

That the Heat came a Rondo missed lay-up and 5 missed free throws from possibly losing at home is amazing.
I think that's the most frustrating part---just basic stuff cost us the game and a chance to end this series as soon as possible.  I'm not worried they'll lose the series, just frustrated this team couldn't get the basics done to close this out.

We need to be merciless on Tuesday. So happy the game is a night. We really need to get to the bottom of the afternoon game blues. I don't think I've seen another team consistently start so lethargic in the afternoon.

Now your just being silly or argumentative. We all saw the game. They did not "stop defending wade" by any stretch of the imagination. TA was in his jersey on two of the 3 pointers, and they doubled wade everytime he touched it down the stretch.

IT really is ok to admit an opposing player, more so a great one like wade, played a great game. No one's going to revoke anyone's celtic fandom status if they admit Wade tore us up  ;)

We could have been tighter to start and to finish, but lets give wade his due. he was hitting clutch shot after clutch shot to bring them back.

The good news is, he won't be able to play atlas for 3 more wins in a row, We'll beat them game 5 when there bench and wade don't have the crowd to pump them up.

and, hopefully, when two of our star players don't pick up 3 ticky tack fouls early in the first half  >:(

lol

What was disgraceful about the C's effort in the 4th quarter?

I guarantee you the C's will not lose game 5.

Miami  played hard and with desperation to avoid elimination at home.  They deserved this one....much as it pains me to say it.

I don't think they deserved it.  I think they got lucky.

Dwayne Wade = Antoine Walker

Toine has been a proven clutch 3 point shooter.

Wade not so much. Wade's just a proven superstar and hall of famer.

You have to END a series when you get the chance---We should have SWEPT Chicago LAST season---BUT, we missed free throws that would have FINISHED off 2 games---What happened?....7 Game series---7 Overtimes...and when it was all done---we were TOO TIRED to Beat Orlando in Round 2.

And its statements like that, that make me question credibility. C'mon, this series isn't going to 7. Dwade had to scare HALF their points today to give them a chance.

The funny thing is, all the analysts swore this would be the series to watch and the most likely upset, but the team has come to play and have stanglehold on the series. Calm down dude.

I expect we finish this out in Boston on Tuesday. Would've been nice to get the sweep to get the extra days off for practice before Cleveland, but wrapping it up in 5 isn't that bad of a consolation prize.

True.  But my point was that Antoine was often criticized for jacking up threes early in the shot clock outside the confines of the offense.  Sometimes it worked; often it didn't.

Wade played exactly the same way.  He got lucky tonight.  The chances of that happening again are extremely remote.
