Paul is back at the poker table. LOL.

I like how he seems more comfortable, seeing that hat probably exposes him more.

I think he believes he's running this town this weekend.  :D Me likey.

this is almost the same outfit i was wearing today. I was also imitating step-back, game-winning, jumpers.  ;)

I always wondered how 6'7" Basketball stars dressed as to not draw attention to themselves. Pierce was a pro with that one!

They normally dress like normal people, but sometimes they have really expensive clothes on.

Ha! I'll take that. I should've mentioned his hat and glasses. He also appeared slouched down in that seat, too.

Time to sweep! I hope the C's wont be overconfident or already thinking of the next round, but I think they will get the job done.

TP FL and let's go C's!!

I'm so glad we finally got just plain old regular cable TV in this house. I can finally watch a game on ABC, something I haven't done since like the Finals.

Lets go Celtics =D

If Cavs play 7 games and we end this round with 4 IMO we will have to much rest (5-6) days and I don't like that at all

TP to the OP

... plus slouching doesn't hurt.

It would be great to get this game.  I'm always a little leery of when the Cs play afternoon games, though.  Things never seem to go right.
Celtics fan for life.

My thoughts exactly - though a lot of those afternoon game problems seem to come from focus, which we haven't lacked this past week.  We'll see if the fellas come out like they think the series is over, or like they want to step on Miami's throat one last time.

The Heat will fight, but they'll roll over pretty quickly if we can get a decent margin I think.

I’d love a win today but I know a sweep is a tough thing to do. No one wants to go out like that. I hope they are ready for the afternoon start and come out with focus and energy that lasts the whole game. Gooo Celtics! TP FLCF.

Some fun and not so fun facts for the game:
Quote
1. As we noted in today's column, the Celtics have not swept a best-of-seven series since winning the first four games of the 1986 Eastern Conference Finals against the Bucks. The Celtics have completed 20 best-of-seven series since the last time they swept one. Only two teams have a longer current streak of consecutive best-of-seven series played without registering a sweep than Boston: the Hawks (32 straight) and Wizards (26 straight).
Quote
2. Doc Rivers is only 5-10 in games in which his team has had a chance to clinch a playoff series in his career as a head coach. Only one head coach in NBA history has a lower winning percentage than Rivers in those games (minimum: 15 games): Fred Schaus (5-13, .278).

3. Paul Pierce has scored 40-or-more points in a game in which his team has had a chance to clinch a playoff series twice in his career (46 points in 2002 first round and 41 points in 2008 conference semifinals). Only two players that were active in 2009-10 have as many 40-point games in potential series-clinching games as Pierce: Allen Iverson (three) and Kobe Bryant (two).
Quote
5. Jermaine O'Neal is shooting only 16.1 percent from the field in this series (5 for 31). Over the last 40 years, only two players have made less than 20 percent of their field-goal attempts in a postseason series (minimum: 30 attempts): the Lakers' Willie McCarter in the 1971 conference finals (6-for-31, .194) and Washington's DeShawn Stevenson in the 2007 opening round (9-for-46, .191).

6. O'Neal's teams have posted a 33-46 (.418) record in the 79 postseason games he has appeared in. Only two active players have a lower career personal winning percentage in the postseason than O'Neal (minimum: 50 games): Eduardo Najera (19-37, .339) and Marcus Camby (28-40, .412).
;D

Quote
7. Michael Beasley is shooting 35.3 percent from the field in the first half and 62.5 percent from the field in the second half in this series. That 27.2 percentage point increase in field-goal percentage from the first half to the second half is the largest for any player in the 2010 playoffs (minimum: 15 FGA in each half). Rajon Rondo has the second largest decrease in field-goal percentage from the first to the second half in this postseason (.600 to .222; -.378) behind Paul Millsap ( -.461).

8. The Celtics have outscored the Heat by 53 points in the 72 minutes that Glen Davis has been on the court in this series. That is the largest plus-minus differential for any player in the 2010 postseason. In the 72 minutes that Davis has not played, Boston has been outscored by 13 points.

Time to close it out and get some rest. Is Wade playing?

I suspect we see a big game from Rondo.

It's reasons like this why I can buy the conspiracy theories: Bill Kennedy on the game. Famous for getting a fine for the unnecessary behavior he displayed in an argument with Doc.

Game 3 vs Miami: Salvatore

Last year, we were up 2-1 vs Chicago and game in Chicago(must win to almost ensure 7 games): Bill Kennedy on the game

2 years ago, up 2-0 on Atlanta: Benny Salvatore
game 6 vs detroit(up 3-2): Benny Salvatore
game 3 vs. cleveland(up 2-0): Benny Salvatore
game 3 vs. lakers(up 2-0): Benny Salvatore
game 6 vs. lakers(up 3-2): Benny Salvatore, but even the hand of God couldn't stop that massacre. ;)

Those are all CRUCIAL games to keeping the series alive for more games.

Is 5-6 days really too much rest for a team has old as ours? If it was two weeks, then yeah, that may be too much. But at best they get like 1 day of vacation in a 5-6 day "rest" period. I do believe they will practice in-between those days, provided they earn that luxury Sunday Afternoon.

Honestly though, when I hear that's why a team loses, it just sounds like an excuse. C's won't lose simply cause of that.
