Used to love his columns... was very disappointed in his book. Enjoyable in parts, but three **** references per page makes me wonder if the Sports Gal might need to reassess their relationship.

It seems as if the more successful he becomes, the more insecure. And vindictive. It's just unseemly.

And I don't expect him to wave the pom-poms for the C's. But how do you write one of your only columns about the C's all year about Rasheed's shortcomings and not write anything about what a joy it is to watch Rondo become an All-Star and one of the best point guards in the NBA for the next 10 years?

He's a front-runner who always has to have the last word... hence his prediction about the C's losing in the first round and then no tweets about the NBA all week. Expect him to crow about how he was spot-on about the Pats' sixth-round draft pick.

The person who mentioned Klosterman on his pod casts is correct. You can tell that Bill is intimidated by him because Chuck will immediately call him out on vague generalisations and other such things.

I still like him for the most part. I really don't think he is no longer a fan of the Boston teams. You think after all of those years and all of he history he could just turn it off like that?

He writes in more general terms now is all. I don't find it as interesting as I once used to and, at times, the pop culture references are seemingly forced. My favourite thing about him these days is Jack-O, that guy cracks me up.

When you pontificate on things you have a very limited view of, you end up being proven an idi0t from time to time.

His 'sweet spot' ala Mr. Pierce's buzzer beater is horrible analogies that appear to bring some amusement to his readers.  Not my cup o' tea but, he gets page views (the only thing that really matters) so he's doing something right.

good point on oden. he is a very good center when healthy.

but...

let assume that oden never was injured and played to his potential. if we were to redo the draft i would still pick durant before oden.
Based on what Oden showed this year alone if you removed his health as an impediment I'd take Oden in a heartbeat.

Durant is amazing, but a dominant defensive/rebounding big like Oden is what you build championships around.
Completely agree.  Seems like all the Celtics fans now say they would have taken Durant.  That wasn't the case before that draft.  I admit I really wanted Oden.

This is what Bill had to say about the game on his Twitter

Quote
Hope everyone's watching Wade today. Boston is basically triple-teaming him 30 feet from the basket right now. Not sure I've ever seen that.

Now that's a lie we did't even double Wade at all, he's giving Wade way too much credit there....  his next 6-10 tweets are about LBJ and Kobe.  What a poser.

does it make me a bad person that one of the things im most looking forward to as a side effect of us closing out the heat is watching Bill backtrack on twitter?

"uh....yea! the reverse jinx strikes again!"

That's the big question:  will he go the reverse jinx route, or will he ignore it completely, and secretly (or not so secretly) root for us to lose against the Cavs so that he can gloat.

Seriously, I think Adande is more of a Celtics fan these days.

Well, to no one surprise, Simmons didn't make a comment on the Celtics win tonight. He tweeted during the game but purposedly talked about baseball when the game just finished and the C's advanced to the second round in 5 games. ::)

Does it shock anybody that he's watching the Red Sox rather than the Celts in their clincher?

Be prepared, though, for 67 tweets from the Thunder game.  Poser.

You guys are almost deranged with this Simmons stuff.

As if ANY of you know what he was watching and when or how much he actually cares.

That's the beauty of Twitter.  We *do* know what he was watching.

Not really. He's got multiple TVs going in his office. All you know is one of them was tuned to the Sox game.
