Funny, but reading this thread gives me flashbacks to 2004...
Celtics got mauled by the Pacers (swept in 4, including a drubbing on the parquet to close it out) and nobody wanted to question our own Paul Pierce's motivation.
The look I see on D. Wade's face looks eerily similar to one I remember on Paul's during that series...
Let's cut Wade some slack...he is NOT the problem with the Heat, just as Pierce was obviously not the problem with the Celtics back then.
While not the problem, we shouldn't go to the other extreme of him showing heart, and being resilient, etc. last night. Because he wasn't.
But as mentioned above me, we should credit the Celtics defense also, we did a good job trapping him and swarming him for the most part.
But if he really wanted to have the impact in this team he should be having, he should be making a better effort to get his hands on the ball. This was particularly evident in the early third quarter when I really don't remember him touching the ball, he was simply a non-factor during that stretch. It's one thing to play bad, or not have your shot falling. It's another to have zero impact during a stretch, particularly when a team really relies heavily on you for offensive output.
