I'm embarrassed for PP quite honestly. The guy curls up in a fetal position on the floor of the other teams bench over his shoulder hurting?! If he tore an achilles, rolled an ankle bad, or something with his legs that prevented him from standing up then I can see it. Instead in the middle of the play he lays down and acts like he's dying which started this whole mess. I think Q Richardson is one of the biggest punks in the NBA, so it kills me to say this, but he is right.

"Sometimes (Pierce) falls like he’s about to be out for the season and then he gets right up."

How many times has PP done this and then magically he's back in the game and fine... Had he walked over to the bench and the trainer instead of laying down like a pansy then we'd have KG in this game and not be having this debate.

Sorry. Had to say it. Let the ripping begin!

Regardless of whether Pierce was embellishing or not, do you think that justifies QRich standing over him, talking trash?  At the time, none of us knew how seriously Pierce was injured.  It's completely low class to stand over *any* injured player on the other team and wolf at them.

I do think it's odd that you attack Pierce for 1) QRich's actions, and 2) KG's response.  So, it's Pierce's fault that others don't act with self-control?

The refs could (and should) haver prevented the whole situation. QR had no business over there. End of story, really.

I am not justifying his actions at all. I don't blame KG for popping him in the head with the elbow. As I said. Q Rich is a HUGE punk and that part of it made me quite happy.

I do agree with his comment however that PP rolls around on the floor like he's dying and then magically is cured. He has done this quite a few times in his career and he should be embarrassed at the way he makes himself look. THAT is all I am saying.

I wouldn't say I'm proud of KG since his actions had consequences for the team. I admire that he tried to protect Pierce. I just wish he could have ignored Richardson's moronic taunting and asked the ref standing there to intervene.

There was no ref standing there.  The ref had already walked away, with the ball I might point out which makes Richardson statement about trying to inbound the ball an obvious lie.

The officiating was a large part of this entire problem.  They never should have left the area until Pierce was up or the area was cleared of Heat players. At least one official should have stayed right there.  The fact that they didn't left KG and Baby to keep Richardson away from their teammate and left them to fend for themselves when they were surrounded by the entire Heat team.

Maybe.  Pierce has also popped right back up after losing teeth in a game, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Wow… That's just about as insulting a comment as there is! Uncalled for really.  ;D

It doesn't change the fact he acts this way. QR didn't have any business going over there and deserved to be elbowed, however it doesn't mean his comment wasn't accurate.

Of course you are because you are a Celtics fan. I have in the past as well, but I've just tired of it. Had he not flopped on the floor like a fish we'd have had KG in this next game.

3-4 times flopping doesn't make up for one time getting up. He probably was just making sure that he could go find his teeth more than trying to be tough...

Who are you to decide how painful someone else's injury is?
I didn't see anyone rolling on the floor or curling up in the fetal position, like you have alleged.  He went to the floor and the trainer went over to check on him, which happens ALL THE TIME in the NBA.
The fact that he stays in the game and continues to play should be applauded by Celtics fans, and all NBA fans really.  The fact that he is willing to play through pain unlike some other prima donna's is something that makes me respect him even more.

I will be proud if they come out and play with passion, for the rest of the playoffs. Hopefully this is the type of unifying event that increases chemisty and bands the team together.

I realize your first post was troll baiting.  But since you clarified your point.  Let me add that you are aware that he has had shoulder injuries this year correct?  Or are you being intentionally obtuse?

By the way you didn't have to say anything so don't be sorry to say it.

its seems as though you have never had a stinger or ever been injured playing a sport. I have actually had a stinger playing football before and they are really painful and for you to say what someone who is experiencing a stinger should be doing is kind of backwards to me. Id say unless you are the one experiencing the pain, then let him handle it the way he did. And Q's statement after the game is very disrespectful. I dont think any1 can question PP's toughness after the incident like roy said happened. Pierce lost his front teeth (with a NO-CALL) and got up. And as a side note, doesnt Qrich remember a few years ago when dwade dislocated his shoulder and had to be wheeled out in a wheelchair while CRYING. I mean he was literally bawling and had to be wheeled out in a wheelchair for a shoulder injury. Paul's was a knee injury. I dont see you questioning Dwades toughness????
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

I had one season playing football where stingers were a common obstacle. The first one needs to be a hard hit, but it is very easy for them to come back on very little contact. The feeling is lost all the way down your entire arm and it is scary to be quite frank. So I see nothing out of the ordinary with Pierce's actions.

I personally think your media outlets should be cut off if you were traded for Darko Milicic straight up.
