  • Another undersized Celtic...
Does Doc start Sheed or Baby in his place? Does he start TA and go small? Will we see a faster lineup that can push the tempo to keep the Heat from slowing down into their half court sets?? Does he go with a stingy defensive group to force turnovers?

Rasheed should start if KG is suspended. I don't like going small right out of the gate when we should be using our size advantage on the Heat. Beasly can't defend Rasheed and hopefully we could take advantage of that to get him in foul trouble or get some easy buckets.

Sheed by default. But after he stinks the place out for five minutes or so, put in Baby- but tell him it's ok to pass it back out if he gets an offensive rebound ;D

It'll likely be Rasheed, since he plays the most like KG and will keep the first unit style intact.

Though they should be able to get away with being small a lot in this series.  Beasley isn't all that big and plays somewhat of a perimeter oriented game: Pierce could likely guard him for portions of the game, allowing Ray, Paul, and Rondo to be on the court while TA guards Wade.

It should be Big Baby, since he played better both offensively and defensively than Sheed in game 1 and has been giving much more effort than Sheed for a while.  It'd be nice to see the Baby that played so well last year with no KG in the playoffs.

And if Shelden comes off the bench to play with Sheed, I bet people (including Doc) would be greatly surprised at how much better the offense looks.  It's painfully obvious, as evidenced by the first half against the Heat, that opposing bigs cheat off Big Baby defensively because they're sure they can block his shot near the rim and they're right to be that confident.  It allows teams to shut off anything the C's second unit tries to do in the lane.  Shelden's shot isn't as easily blocked, so they'd pay a price for cheating off him down low.

I'd start Baby.  He earned it with his effort level yesterday.  Don't reward the guy who got one rebound.

No way Sheed should be starting. He looked slow playing at center trying to stop Wade by putting his butt out there. We would be way too slow with Sheed at pf. Wade would kill us on pick and rolls and it doesn't matter how good defense TA can play on Wade cause Sheed would ruin that with horrible pick and roll defense. It should be Big Baby starting with us going small with Pierce at pf for a couple of stretches.

I'd start Sheed.  Gotta stay big out there.  I also think he complements that starting unit better.

I think he starts Baby and keeps Rasheed with the second unit. I think this because of the way Glen played last year in the playoffs.

It seems like when Baby starts he brings SO much more than when he's coming of the bench.

See I think Davis works with the starting unit better.  Big baby showed he could fill KG's role offensively last year and was very effective doing it.  This year since he's played with Sheed a lot he's been doing work inside, I'd rather see him get back to that nice 15 foot jumper from the corner.
do it

I would start BBD, but Sheed will get the nod if the league does this.

the big thing is we can't have ray on wade for very long. when ray was on wade...it is when miami went on a run to get up 14-15 points. but we need some scoring from ray def.
