From a pure perpective standpoint:

-Draft Express has Larry Sanders going at #19 although its not updated for the Celtics in that slot yet.

-NBA Draft.net has Avery Bradley going at #19 and does have the Celtics already slotted at #19.

I hope the Celtics fall in love with 2 players in the late first round, and buy an extra pick in the 20s.

There are a lot of interesting options at 19 though for sure.  ;D

  • Rondo = Good
This is a deep draft so I'm hoping for good things.

Stanley Robinson intrigues me.  Larry Sanders sounds pretty hit or miss, but most players that late in the draft are.

Would be cool if Hassan Whiteside dropped that far, but it's doubtful.

maybe the luck of the irish is back....at least a little bit.

19th is better than 22nd. ainge does seem to do well at picking players in the 20s so this only helps the team.

perks, allen, west were all in the 20s. jefferson was #15. rondo was #21. so ainge can get talent in the 19th slot.

of coruse, gerald "da bust" green was #18, but on draft night everyone here was excited about getting him. hard to blame ainge for that choice.

Hassan Whiteside/Patrick Patterson/Ekpe Udoh
Paul George
Kyle Singer
Greivis Vasquez

Make it happen, Danny. Make it all happen.

PS.. Does this mean we also get the 19th pick in the second round?

Our second rounder will be 52nd overall (22nd in the 2nd round)

Nice. I didn't like the 3 teams were tied with. Spurs, Blazers and Thunder are all the type who probably wouldn't let a good pick slip down to us if they went before us.

Oh my lord... PLEASE draft this guy. He even shimmies!

He could stand to watch some old Antoine footage, but I think Vasquez shows the most potential of anyone else in the draft.

I would love either Ekpe Udoh or Greivis Vasquez at 19. Udoh is a shotblocker, one of those is always helpful. Defense won us the championship 2 years ago, let's get defensive-minded again.

I think most people have Vasquez pegged in the second round, but with the unpredictability of that who really knows? 19th is a little too high and I'd prefer we don't take another guard in the first round. If he can be drafted in the second, or traded for all I'm over it, though.

I'm really hoping Whiteside or Udoh is there, though. Both would be excellent fits in Boston. Buy a pick or two from who ever's selling and at least our summer league team will look good haha

on draft express project Vasquez as a #20 in round two wich is pick #50, if he slip to our #52 we must get him, for pick #19 I would like Larry Sanders or Stanly Robinson. I really like Patrick Patterson, but I don't see him fall to #19

Please pick Daniel Orton. Also my hope for the second round is Lazar Hayward out of Marquette. Ryan Gomes 2.0.

definitely going to be some quality players there at #19. If DA can target a guy and make a promise to keep someone in the draft, this could be a big boost for the team.

I really like Stanley Robinson. Plus he fills a clear need. He's strong, tall, and athletic at the SF position. He plays good defense and rebounds like crazy.

Too bad we can't just grab him now and suit him up for the playoffs. Throw him at LeBron for a bit to rest Paul and grab some offensive boards ;D
