I don't know about you guys, but before the season started I was hoping for two things:

1) The Celtics would have the best record in the NBA.
2) None of the starters would be injured before the playoffs.

Obviously the first one didn't happen but maybe the second one is more important. I think if you told anybody before the season that NOBODY would be injured before the playoffs, they'd be ecstatic.

Even Tony Allen's healthy for a change. Sure, KG might not be in '08 form, but he's not that far off. Mark my words that a healthy Paul Pierce will be a huge difference maker. Expect 8-10 FTA per game, which will open up opportunities for the rest of the team.

Despite all of the somewhat warranted media negativity, I'm still drinking the kool aid. It's a lot more fun to root for a team than to whine and moan about them. If Cowboy Up was the Red Sox's mantra, the Celtics' will be: FLIP THE SWITCH!

Yep, we made it to the playoffs healthy, and that's quite an achievement in itself, although we would have felt much better if our team played as we expected it to play.

But that's a big factor and hopefully we will be injury-free during our run.

to me, this really is about the celtics desire to win and play hard. they have the talent and the defense and offense to beat any team in the nba in a 7 game series.

but they have to play with passion and energy and desire all 48 minutes. even if the offense is not working, their defense can win games. and defense is mostly desire.

go celtics! :)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

With what I saw last year with the C's when they didn't have KG I completely expect us to bring our all and play with complete passion, energy, and desire for all 48 minutes and more because of OT games.
