Nice to start a series with a win. Of course it was harder than it should have been but it wouldn't be our beloved 09-10 Celtics if they didn't make the fans sweat a bit.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Outside of this game...

The Sox played the end of a suspended game tonight...
A Colorado Rockies pitcher threw a no hitter...
The Mets and Cardinals are in the 20th inning...

That defense in the second half was just like two years ago. Reminde me the way we played against Lebron then.

TA just earned a new contract no matter what happens next.

KG looked great! Showed a few 'old' dunks. I'm excited about what coming next!!

Tirico was unprofessional in my mind as he was openly lobbying for a KG suspension. Of course, he can't do basic math so what do you expect. Tirico 75 from 81 is 6 not 5. Its called subtraction we teach it in grade one you jackass.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
glad to see that Sheed was nowhere to be found in the 4th qtr

Yep.

This is ridiculous--it was a big win, there's no need to scapegoat the guy for anything. Sheed actually played very well. Miami went small and BBD went off, that was the only reason.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

thought sheed played within the system in the second half and did what was needed. i give baby credit. his rebounding midway third on was a huge key.
