The Horn is blaring and John Kiley is playing The Mexican Hat Dance on his Old Boston Garden organ.

Loved that article, Hila.

My favorite part:

Quote
When Eddie House hit the three with 2:30 left the roof almost blew off the place. It was mayhem. That single moment was unlike anything I’ve experienced in any game of my trip so far. In the scale of “Frenzied Crowd Moments” during my time in the USA, that gets the 10. That is the benchmark. God I’m glad I came to Boston.

That was a great crowd at Game 2 of the Bulls series last year.  Place was definitely rockin'.

Epic sports day for me.  Went to the Sox game in the morning/afternoon then met up with some friends on Boylston St for the marathon and wrapped it up at the Garden for the game.  One of the best sports days of my life.

  • You say when......
Well, I wish I was at the game to set a good example of a rabid Celtics Fan, but I will have to do it here, or at the bar, starting at halftime....lets win this and set the tone..!

Great win by the Celts but my question is when are the fans going to respond to the team.... The celts have played great the last game and a half and the fans still aren't responding. While watching these games on TV it seems like they don't mean anything.  It sucks to work yourself up all day long and in between games to turn on the game and it seems like no one else cares.

Why go to the games if you don't really care??!?! I really don't get it.

Seemed like a pretty good crowd to me watching on tv tonight.  You could hear multiple chants quite audibly and they seemed into it especially with Ray hitting all those big shots.  My father was at the game and called me afterwords and said the place was rocking.  I'm guessing people who attended the game and post here might second that.

When things become a blowout, the crowd can get a bit disinterested but it sounded fine to me on television.

Yeah, it definitely sounded pretty loud during those ray threes but I guess I'm just expecting frenzied crowds for the whole game.  I gotta say it was a little disheartening to see the wave at one point during the game

the crowd had great energy tonight.  it was loud at different points throughout the game.  ta and nate were constantly cheering, waving towels, and cheering with the crowd.  fun game to be at.

It was the loudest I've heard it all year. Best game of the year, so far!

its the fact that it was even attempted during a playoff game thats disappointing

i know ur being sarcastic, but i have no problem with him doing that.  people can call him a punk and whatnot, but during the games, whether he plays or not, he is always up cheering, getting the fans into it, and high fiving his teammates all game.  every three the celtics make, he goes down the line on the bench and puts 3 fingers up "high fiving" every player  on the bench.  i dont know what he is like in practice and off the court bc im not there, but during games, i like what he does.  he brings energy, whether he is playing or not

Oh boy,  here we go.

The wave has no place in basketball, and especially at the Garden.

Fine for baseball and soccer, but not for hoops.

I didn't go to the game (had to work) but the Fat Kid went.

He reports that Lucky tried to get the wave started in the 4th quarter, without much luck.  The Fat Kid was so incensed that he left his lofty perch in the balcony and went down to the lower bowl to call Lucky out.

NO WAVE IN THE GAHDEN!!!

Lucky claimed he was just doing it because Nate told him to.
