Quote
Ben Roethlisberger was suspended Wednesday for six games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, the league announced.

Commissioner Roger Goodell handed down the punishment a week after prosecutors decided not to charge Roethlisberger in a case involving a 20-year-old college student who accused him of sexually assaulting her in a Georgia nightclub in March.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback also was ordered to undergo a comprehensive behavioral evaluation. Goodell will evaluate Roethlisberger's progress before the season and might consider reducing the suspension to four games.

However, a failure to comply with the NFL's ruling might lead to a longer suspension.

I wonder what happens if after the psychological evaluation they find out that he has a similar psychological makeup as that of a serial rapist?
The conspiracy theorist in me says that the guy the NFL hires to do this won't come to that conclusion.

Ray Lewis' buddy stabbed a dude to death in front of him and Ray tried to engineer the getaway.  Why is it ok? Cause he sells tix, video games, jerseys, and he does that weird dance thing where he picks up grass and has coniptions. Give me Bruschi any single day and twice in a big game.

I guess Ben Rothlisburger is getting married and says he isn't living with his fiancee due to their religious beliefs.

Can anyone tell me what religion says it's ok to rape a girl, but not live with your fiancee'?

Firstly, I don't think Ben raped anyone.  There is a reason he wasn't even charged with anything.  He obviously had (or has) some issues with alcohol and decision making, but if he raped anyone he would have been charged.

Secondly, it is clearly her religious beliefs since she still lives at home with her parents.  He is just taking some of the spotlight off of her and putting it on him.  The story is now about him and not her, which obviously benefits him, but also benefits her.

He survived a motorcycle accident. You'd think he would have acted like a saint there after seeing as how he nearly lost his life. He needs to stay away from the Alcohol. Potential good guy, horrible decision making... Just like his play on the field.
