The 572 pages of documents released on Thursday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation likely contain plenty of useless and irrelevant stuff.  But, apparently, the materials contain some interesting information that could make things even more difficult for Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Buried in an item in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution regarding the newly-available materials appears reference to an "unsubstantiated allegation" that a "drunken Roethlisberger" made an "unwanted advance" at another Milledgeville-area woman on an unspecified date during a party at Roethlisberger's house in the area.

Per the GBI information, Roethlisberger allegedly pulled down his pants and told the woman she could "do whatever she wants."  A week later, he allegedly forced his hand up the same woman's skirt.

I don't know if he's gonna go down for any of this stuff, but its tough to think that he's anything but a Grade A scumbag. 

This isn't all coincidences, either.  He's putting himself in questionable circumstances.  Also, some sort of light bulb should go off in his head that he's not in college anymore and hasn't been for awhile.  Why keep up in that scene?

The problem with that is that he would have to terrorize another innocent women and we would have to hope his money couldn't bail him out of that one.

I always wish for justice, but in this women...young girl really, case it's passed since they don't have any corroborating evidence that the sex was non-consensual.

Guy is just such a scum bag...even if he's not a rapist, since apparently she was too drunk to know what was going on, he's still a sexual predator. I'll hope for justice, but the way athletes get away with things, my hopes are low

another nice way to get justice would be if the girl would actually cooperate with prosecuters.

Also it would be nice if along with encouraging men with the whole no means no campaign if people would maybe people would encourage women to stay away from athletes with horrible reputations or that give them alcohol or drugs in the first 2 minutes of knowing them or that have big body guards.

Also it would be nice if we didn't have so many Duke Lacrosse situations and horrible character witnesses like Kobe's accuser to cast doubt on every one of these things.

My problem with this is that it seems to be a his word against her's and there really is no proof of rape. What I would like to know is why her friends didnt't do anything about it at the time if they suspected soemthing bad was going on. Call the police or bartender or bouncer if you think your friend is being taken advantage of. I have a hard time thinking ill of him because there is no evidence of a crime other than some weak accounts imo. It doesn't mean that nothing happened, but this is too hard to say for sure.

As to your question about here friends, according to the report, they did try to tell the bartender and were pretty much told "whatever. He's an NFL QB..." by the owner.

There was no other way they could have gotten to her. according to her friends the timeline was:

-Drunk Girl dragged off
- told bartender they couldnt get to her in the bathroom because of ben's bodyguards at the door, he told them to forget about it and calm down
- friend comes out 10 minutes later, tells them he raped her
- they find the first cop and report it.

So, assuming that her friends are telling the truth, not really sure what they could have done. the're pretty much saying the bar was on board with taking care of ben.

Which, i have to say, makes sense given what we know about this bar and ben's relationship with it. doubly so given the fact that the surveillance tape "accidentally" taped over  before police could seize it.

I was not aware of all the other incident, thats why I didn't feel too strongly one way or the other. If what everyone is saying is correct, then I can say I won't feel bad for hoping he gets a career ending injury.

She did, there wasn't enough evidence. After the assault occurred she did everything right, he still got away with it.

Ben is very lucky the club, "accidentally" erased the video tape of this. If they had tape showing the bodyguards preventing the girls friends from getting to her he'd be going to jail for imprisonment or something along those lines at the least.

She didn't make the decision, the prosecutor did. The Lawyer's letter saying "don't continue" was pure PR spin. There wasn't enough evidence to convict, no way the DA was going to press charges.

She didn't make the decision, the prosecutor did. The Lawyer's letter saying "don't continue" was pure PR spin. There wasn't enough evidence to convict, no way the DA was going to press charges.

He made the decision after realizing she was drunk during the incident (strike 1), there was inconclusive DNA evidence (strike 2), and she said she didn't want to help cooperate with prosecuters (biiiiggggg strike 3).

except that rape is a horribly handled and prosecuted crime in this country. As a victim, especially to a rich, famous perpetrator, your choices are basically: 1. let it go and try to heal on your own, or 2. have your entire sex life and reputation put on trial and have random anonymous message boarders blaming you for getting yourself raped by hanging out in a club. most rape doesn't go to trial, and a lot of rape that does ends up with low conviction rates and high levels of scrutiny, criticism, and embarrassment for the victim.
