I don't understand the faith people had in the Denver Nuggets.
The only reason they advanced to the WCF last year was because they got by a self destructing Hornets franchise and a mentally weak Dallas Mavs team who had gotten ousted in the 1st round 2 years in a row after making the Finals in '06.
They also hammered the Lakers this year when they played them, and also looked like they had the ability (but not the maturity or discipline) to defeat the Lakers last year in the WCF.
This first round performance is just more of the same, in my opinion. They're losing because they don't have the focus or the discipline to play good defense and avoid making costly errors on the offensive end. It's bad enough for them when Karl is around to try to keep them in check; it's insurmountable when he's out of the picture.
Yup, they were a good defensive team last year. There is no reason they shouldn't be a good defensive team this year, but they are not.
Honestly for me this is kind of unffair, theyre losing 2 close games against an inspired Deron Williams, and thats all.
Denver as Utah can win this series and I am not writting off them yet.
It is fair because they've shown over the entire regular season they aren't a good defensive team. I'm not just talking about this playoff series.
for me theyre not a bad defensive team
they just lack the focus and worried about offense too much time
see JR and Nene
but they have the stamina and knowledge to be a decent defensive team
I am not putting them over Sallas or SA but at least they can compete with utah on fair equal base
I was directing my comment more to the original post
but over all
I think nobody say this coments with them up 3-1
and that could be easily the case
