Looks like our game Tuesday might be on NBATV. Bad news for the out of NE market fans that don't get the channel through their cable provider. They will most likely go to Lebron, but the Cavs at home probably have the highest probability of a blowout.

Poor planning by the NBA to have the 4 most watched series having a game on the same night. Bos/Mia, Cle/Chi, LAL/OKC, and SAS/Dal.

Yeah that is pretty dumb scheduling by the league.

To be fair, I doubt the league expected at least two of those series to be all that exciting (the 1/8 matchups).

But they did know that Kobe and LeBron would be playing in those series and that is why the league had both of those series as their ABC games the first weekend of the playoffs.

Those were the playoff debuts.  I'm sure the thinking was "By this point - if they're still playing - the Lakers and the Cavs will be just about done with their first round opponent."

Cavs just about are but they are still playing on Tuesday and that means LeBron is.

It looks like we are going to see more small ball from Dallas.

I don't like that matchup (three guard backcourt) for Dallas. I think San Antonio will win that regularly ... the Spurs simply have more talent in Ginobili, Parker and Hill than the Mavs do with Kidd, Terry and Barea.

It also allows San Antonio to play their best perimeter players more minutes which strengthens them as a team. The Mavs are effectively playing into San Antonio's best game plan.

Are they still listening to Wayne Winston?

It certainly appears so.

Attack Dirk + Barea/Terry/Kidd in the pick and roll.

San Antonio will get a lot of joy going out those players. Poor defensive combination ... and San An will be able to attack them with Manu or Parker, one of their best players.

Haywood is a much better pick and roll defender than Dirk.

Why do San Antonio keep attacking Haywood?

They are making their life more difficult than it needs to be.

Maybe the don't want Dirk in foul trouble?
