I hate it when Popovich puts Richard Jefferson at power forward.

This is a very bad matchup for San Antonio and one Dallas should take full advantage of. Big opportunity for the Mavs to take control of this game.

I wonder if he'll stay with that lineup to start the fourth.

Why did Carlisle take Dirk out of the game?

He just threw a potential advantage away? Ugh ....

Good news for Dallas, Najera just got ejected.

Bad news for San Antonio.

I know lol, good call by the refs though that was a dangerous foul.

Good decision by Pop to bring Duncan and McDyess back in.

Oh man, George Hill, wow, he has been tremendous tonight.

29 points on 14 shot shot attempts + 2 free throws. He has killed Dallas with his scoring.

An amazing victory for San Antonio. Hard to believe they could win a playoff game against an opponent of the Mavs' caliber with their top three players struggling so badly offensively.

Tim Duncan was 1-9 from the floor for 4 points. Tony Parker had 10 points on 9 shots. Ginobili had 17 points on 4-16 shooting (8-9 FTs). A total of 31 points on 9-34 shooting (26.4%).

The Spurs are now up 3-1 against the Mavs so they only have to win one of the remaining three games to advance ... and Rick Carlisle appears to have no answers for how to beat San Antonio. He is lost. Hard to see the Mavs winning three games in a row against the Spurs with Carlisle doing what he is doing.

However, that also means the Lakers stiffest opposition is likely to be knocked out and their path to the Finals just became considerably more comfortable for them. The Lakers are going to beat Oklahoma and neither Utah or Denver (who aren't playing well) are able to beat them. That'll leave San Antonio in the Conference Finals who'll give them a good series but I would consider LA the overwhelming favourite there.

Wow San Antonio up 3-1.  I still think that Dallas is going to battle back and make it a seven game series.

Lakers may have an easier path if they play Utah, then San Antonio.

I don't think so.  San Antonio is too good to lose 2 straight to Dallas.

How about Denver, huh?  ...and the award for most valuable coach goes to George Karl!

I really don't think this is true.  The Spurs look a lot better than the Lakers right now.  Honestly, so do the Jazz.  I feel confident in the ability of one of those teams to beat the Lakers.

If you think D-Will has had his way with Denver...just wait till he's being defended by Derek Fisher.  Parker and Hill could give the Lakers fits as well.  Ginobili is a perfect guy to defend Kobe on the perimeter.  Duncan is one of the few players in the league who can actually match up with Pau Gasol.  Boozer is physical enough to give the Lakers' front-court problems as well.

Furthermore, neither the Spurs nor the Jazz rely heavily on a small forward for scoring.  What that means is Artest's defensive abilities aren't as valuable as they would be against, say, Denver or Oklahoma City.  Kirilenko should be back by the 2nd round and he can check any offense Artest might give the Lakers, too.

The Lakers' road to the Finals looks pretty darn tough to me.

I know. The assistant coaches just don't seem up to the job which is understandable. Even with the injuries they had recently I didn't expect them to slump that much. Really hope Karl's treatment comes to a successful end soon.

Man I wonder how much nicer life would be if Rondo started getting the calls that some of these other PGs are getting.

Denver down 3-1... they won't come back, it sucks for them because they could have gone very far in the West but the Jazz was just a terrible matchup for them.

On the other hand San Antonio goes up 3-1 against Dallas! I expected the Spurs to win the series but in 7 games. I guess we buried the Spurs too early once again. :P

Well it's about time.  They had an easy time of it 2 years in a row.
