  • Rondo = Good
Sefalosha defends Kobe all the first half good, and they bench him and put Green on him instead in the second half. Dumb move.

Agreed.  Green was having a worse night offensively than Thabo anyway.  If Thabo's in there, maybe he doesn't bite on Kobe's up fake and Kobe doesn't shoot as many free throws; maybe he hits that 3 with 7 seconds left.

Didn't like the decision to go for a 3-pointer on the thunder's second-to-last possession either, when they were only down two.

Gotta post up Caron Butler on the low block against Ginobili. No way Manu can handle him down in the paint.

Much better option than Butler trying to take him off the dribble.

Whew, that is a fun looking big man combination defensively with Brendan Haywood and Shawn Marion.

Extremely difficult for San Antonio to get dribble penetration into the paint against those two and if they do Haywood's length and shot blocking erases most them.

These two are forcing San Antonio out onto the perimeter and taking contested jump shots.

Nowitzki and Barea is a weak pick and roll combination.

Tony Parker can get a lot of joy attacking those two.

Yeah I don't like Dallas playing Barea against SA.

Dallas' weakest defensive lineup is on the floor now:

Barea + Terry + Butler + Dirk + Dampier

Dallas are a wing player short of making full use of Marion's ability to play the four.

I'd love to see them trade Jason Terry for a quality wing player who can become their new sixth man. Develop a nice eight man rotation with Haywood + wing + Beaubois off the bench behind their current starting lineup. I think that would give them better lineup flexibility and more defensive quality.

I don't know why they don't use Terry at the point more often.

Agreed, Marion at the 4 and Dirk at the 5 makes a lot of sense for the future in Dallas.

I know it's the 1st round and I shouldn't expect much competition but I don't think I've seen any game so far which hasn't featured a double digit lead at some point.
