I had a feeling the worst defensive team to make the playoffs was going to struggle.

And can't blame Nash on that shot. I would've been scared of the foul for only 2 ft's or getting trapped and having to pass it to someone else.

But couldn't he just take another couple steps to be a bit closer?  He took the shot at least a second and a half too early.

What really gets me is the three or four 3 point shots the Suns took before that...well contested and with time on the clock; no surprise only 1 of them went in.

Alvin Gentry's lack of experience in the playoffs showed in that game.

Mostly I'm shocked by how badly Amare played.  If Amare plays up to 75% of the level he's been at the last few months, the Suns will win every game they play against the Blazers.  But when he plays like he did tonight....

Yea, I have to see another replay of the shot. I thought it was only 3 feet or so behind the line, which I wouldn't exactly consider to be out of Nash's range. Could be further.

And Amare had a dud of a game(2 defensive rebounds. ouch) and it could continue.

Suns were playing hot potato with the basketball where an open shooter passed it to a contested one. Looked really strange.

And Gentry made me scratch my head by leaving Nash on the bench until there were only 5 minutes left in the game. Can't get caught asleep at the wheel like that.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about.  It boggles the mind.

I have to think the Suns will turn it on after tonight's loss.  They got a good game from Nash, Frye and the bench but that's pretty much it and it was still really close.  If Amare and J-Rich play up to their standard the Suns should blow the Blazers out of the water.

The Suns-Blazers game was pure thing of statistics, a away team HAD to win one game of all first ones and all home teams got a W before so...bad luck guys  ;D

Man, Chicago have been very unlikely here in the fourth quarter.

Cleveland getting a bunch of bailout shots to go late in the shot clock after the Bulls play excellent defense.

Agreed.  If the Cavs didn't hit so many of their 3s and their contested Js the Bulls coulda had this one.

Joakim Noah with an excellent bounce back game.

LeBron says he took those contested fallaway jumpers because he watched a lot of film and made adjustments?  Yeah right.

Utah only have three players who are above average in their respective roles -- Deron + Boozer + Millsap -- just not enough talent to give Denver a serious run in this series.

Good opportunity for Fesenko here. He is a nice young player.

Jerry Sloan should have been playing this guy all season long. He would have a reliable quality defensive center by now if he did.

Or Lebron is just good at closing out games and the Cavs can hit open 3s.  It's not like anyone was covering Moon on those plays.  Lebron said he took the open jumpers they gave him tonight, which he did.  He took over the game at the end.  Give the guy his due.  He dominated the last 5 minutes of that game.  No bailouts from the refs or any BS.  He just flat out took over.  I can watch that left handed layup past Noah on a continuous loop.

You know, I'm not so sure Denver isn't the worst defensive team in the playoffs....

Denver have some defensive talent on their roster. There is no good reason for that team not to be to be an above average defensive team. Somewhere in the 8th-to-12th range.

The Nuggets are just lazy. Still focusing too much on their offense.

Very sloppy end to the half for the Nuggets.
I hope Karl's recovery is coming along swiftly. Sometimes assistant coaches are just not cut out to be acting head coaches for long stretches.
